We were going to NYC for the day but the traffic on I-95 was stop and go so we got off I-95 in Norwalk, Connecticut. We spent part of the day at the Maritime Aquarium in South Norwalk (SOHO), the beach and Washington Street area. We truly enjoyed ourselves and plan to return. The lovely feel of this area makes you want to come back and experience everything that is there. I especially love Caffine for a place to go and have coffee and dessert with my husband. This is a wonderful , waterfront area, featuring restaurants, shops, and the Maritime Aquarium. It is a good daytime to early evening destination. The entire tone of the area changes after about 8:00 PM, as the area morphs into a drunken twenty something frat party complete with bar fights on a regualar basis. hard to park, and have to pay. if you have kids, don;t go for dinner. lots of bars, obnoxious drunk people. you will geta ticket if you park in the wrong area
