This aquarium was a regular part of our life when my daughter was younger, she loved seeing all the different marine life and especially loved the penguins, seals, and touching the rays. And South Norwalk is a great neighborhood, tons of places to eat and very pleasant to walk around. We usually ended up eating at SoNo seafood (I know,... More

I've been visiting the Maritime Aquarium for decades, since I was a kid and over the years has only gotten better. Now that we have our own family and live in the area we frequent the aquarium as its a wonderful place for our son, for all kids and families. Lots to see and they always have way to get... More

I visit aquariums all over the country, and with a critical eye for the health and safety of the occupants. This aquarium obviously has high standards. The education aspect is first rate, which is what an aquarium should be all about (unlike the evil Sea World). Exhibits were well executed, staff was knowledgeable and helpful, and clean, clean clean! Overall,... More

The MA just keeps getting better and better with time. Have been taking the family there since our now adult children were little. Fresh exhibits, friendly staff, great information to inspire love and respect for our Long Island Sound. Well worth a visit. It's a bit expensive on a one time basis. We always took a family membership and it... More

This aquarium would have received 5 stars if not for one thing: the shark dive. We were running a little late and when we arrived for the presentation the room was overflowing with people, and lots of children. There was no where to sit and we were about 5 rows back for people standing, within 3 minutes of the presentation... More

I really enjoyed the trip to this aquarium. It was so awesome and I liked the variety of the animals they had. My favorite animals were the meerkats and sting rays. The birds were neat as well. The staff was friendly with our goup. Loved my experience and would come back. The sea lion feeding was cool too.

This is a small, nice aquarium with lots of Long Island Sound marine life, such as seals, sharks, jellies, fish, and rays. There are plenty of hands on exhibits, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great IMAX theatre.

Great location in South Norwalk. You can walk along the water/trail outside the aquarium and sit along countless benches outdoors. The aquarium is manageable, it is not huge, but has some fun activites like touch a ray tank. The shark tank is my favorite exhibit- lots of seating. The IMAX theater is also fun. A bit pricey at $20 per... More
