The family found nothing to do on the island. That part was disappointing. Trouble with parking. That may or may not have changed. KIds had never been on a ferry so that was a highlight for as long as it lasted. I recall it being pricy. -- what isn't now a days?

Norwalk has about 16 islands making a cute archipelago just about a mile offshore. The tidiest way to see them, and even get out on one to walk around a bit, is the Sheffield Island Ferry. Took about an hour, and was lots of fun on a beautiful July day. Had a snack at the snack bar, but wished there was more food to buy. Nonetheless, the scenery was lovely right on the Long Island Sound, The boat ride back was equally enjoyable.
