Ocean Beach is a lovely public beach with many attractions for all ages. There is a nice restaurant, or you can simply purchase snacks. There's an amusement arcade/park, and a boardwalk - something for everyone.

Ocean Beach Park in New London, CT is a fantastic place to visit. It has everything a beachgoer will enjoy. The beach is the largest in CT with a beautiful 1/2 mile boardwalk, playground and kids spray park, miniature golf, amusement rides, waterslide, Olympic sized pool, concession and entertainment throughout the whole summer. The beach is clean, the water is... More

We made a stop here for a few hours on our way back from our stay in Mystic, Ct. Sure glad we did! They have a nice beach with a lot of things to do. Besides the beach, they have a boardwalk, where we purchased food and drinks. They also have amusement rides, an arcade, miniature golf, pool, waterslide, and... More

They offer a nice boardwalk with mini golf, a slide pool, food so if your kids get tired of the beach there is more to do and see. They have plenty of staff to life guard and clean up each night. The parking lot is big so if you want to park close come early. It was not too crowed... More

This was a stop on our road trip to visit family on the east coast. We wanted to see the ocean/beach, and was pleasantly surprised at all of the attractions this beach offers. We visited on an early Wednesday evening, so the beach was not crowded at all, and parking was very inexpensive ($5 per carload). (I'm sure the prices... More

Ocean Beach is a lovely day trip and a nice Connecticut beach. While several beaches in CT are rocky and small, Ocean Beach has soft sand and some mild waves (there is a bit of undertow). They have a small boardwalk. Snack type food is available or you can bring in a picnic. Some pros - they have a big... More

White sandy beach with a relatively new boardwalk. The rides and concession stands were all closed, but it was still beautiful. I guess when everything is open you will have to pay the $15 parking fee.

Ocean Beach Park was nothing amazing. View is nice; but the beach itself is a little dirty. The facilities there need some updating as well. For whatever reason we were not charged for admission when going (so I can't really vouch for the pricing). Overall; the area could be nicer if someone with some serious money decided to invest in... I do not know why people would pay that much for a small patch of very coarse sand. All the buildings are old and not kept. for swimming water gets deep fast and it is full of dirt and jellyfish. All the "attractions are very old too. There is a much better beach across the small river from the salt... More
