We went to see nut cracker while we were there. The theater was large and roomy. The seats were comfortable. The performance was great. The only negative thing was there is not enough parking, and had quite the walk to get back to the theater.

The Garde has a gorgeous lobby, unlike anything I have seen a s ornate as The Bushnell in Hartford but with a Mediteranian feel. Seeing any type of performance there is enhanced by your surroundings and by a nice lobby bar - recommend highly!

We bought a film festival ticket to the movies. We have been going for several years, but prices jumped by more than 50% this year. It used to be great, and now it's just expensive .

Besides being the home of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra (always an evening to remember), the Garde's theater offerings are varied and very enjoyable. My new favorite is to see a movie at the Garde. The series they offer with Academy Award nominees is fantastic and the setting and acoustics are wonderful. You can find everything in entertainment at The... More

We attended as a couple but there are many shows for younger children and teens. The Garde has series available for sale at a slightly reduced rate. Seating is comfortable, and all seats have a decent view of the stage. In the past we've seen Wierd Al Yankovich, Arlo Guthrie, The Nutcracker Ballet, and many other performances. There is a... First time visiting the Garde Arts Center - great venue to hear music. Acoustics were fine, we liked our seats and we had a perfect view of the stage.

We go to the Garde occasionally for tours of Broadway shows and ballet, but this time we went to see the screening of Selma. This is such a wonderful home town theater, we were delighted that at the start of the showing Mr. Siegel celebrated his wife's birthday! The beautiful renovations of this historic theater make it a lovely space.... More

My husband and I like to see the ballets performed here, as well as The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra. Something definitely worth the venture, and yes it's hard to find street parking but it's downtown New London.... all part of the charm

I've seen many shows at this theater. Located in downtown New London, it's easy to find (although good luck finding parking) and surrounded by lots of restaurants- so you can eat before the show! Their entertainment varies to music, plays. dance and even classis movies and shows for children. There is something for everyone!

We went to The Garde last week to see the traveling Broadway show "Jekyll & Hyde". It was spectacular. Talented, enthusiastic and professional actors gave us a great performance. The theater is magnificent, the price for live theater is very reasonable. Don't miss an opportunity to see a show at The Garde. wow.
