What a perfect 3 days, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay - beautiful ship, great crew, delicious food, wonderful music, great weather which I'm sure Captain John and Pat ordered and enjoyable company. What more could you ask for? Marshmallows to roast over the hot coals in the grill. And they appeared! It was very difficult to end this special experience.... More

A group from Road Scholars were taken on a 3 day sail in the Chesapeake Bay in late September. It was a total delight. The captain is capable, accessible, and fun. The food was spectacular. The crew knew what they were doing and were easy to talk with. The scenery was great and one night we anchored in a gorgeous,... More

It was a perfect evening, the weather was just right and the sunset was spectacular. The crew were capable, funny and helpful. The food was delicious - tasty chowder and my lobster was large and very fresh. We sailed gently down the river, out and around Ledge Light lighthouse and then back up the Thames as the sun set. We've... More

The Mystic Whaler crew and captain provide a fabulous sailing experience for a first-timer or the most seasoned sailor. Great food, ambiance, explanations of surroundings, and every passenger, from 8 years old to 92 years young this past Labor Day weekend had a wonderful time. None of us wanted it to end!

If you're looking to spend a great day on the water with your kids or just some adult friends this cruise has it all. The BYOB policy saves you money if you want to imbibe but don't worry about the kids. Fresh ice water and lemonade satisfied mine and there was freshly brewed coffee in various blends the whole trip.... More

We did an evening lobster cruise. The sailing and scenes were very beautiful. The food was tasty and we highly recommend the experience.

This is in reference to the 8/24/14 5 hour sail. Overall it was a nice experience and a check-off on the bucket list. The weather was great and the people on board were friendly. The food was good but small portions so dont show up hungry. The crew members were nice and worked hard throughout the trip. My only complaint... More

We decided that our first trip aboard the Mystic Whaler was far too short so this time we opted for the five day sail and again, did not want to leave the ship when we got back. From my journal during the trip: July 29, 2014 "Occasionally we are fortunate enough to bump up against some greatness in our lives,... More

What an amazing adventure and experience! Can't say enough about it from the minute we stepped aboard....everyone was so warm and friendly - crew and other passengers alike. There really is nothing negative to say. Yes as other reviewers warn - if you aren't good at basic living and need all the luxuries of modern travel then it might not... More
