Small venue but worth seeing your favorite bands there. It will be an intimate experience. No food so eat first.

It's kind of small and can get very packed once the bands start playing. Great prices on drinks! Ok place for a local show.

Visited on the recommendation of a friend. They said best blues in town. Unfortunately, our night was a burlesque show. Guy collecting cover charge outside told us the show started at 9pm, once inside the waitress said the show would start at 9.30 or 9.45; the MC said the show would start at 10. Show started around 10:15. 4 performers;... More

Have seen a couple of shows here, spaced by several years, and in two different areas within the small venue. Very cool place for getting up close and personal with up and coming acts, as well as more established independent artists. Beer selection was good, but the place can get overly loud, and sometimes that can be detrimental to a... More

Funky little venue. Drinks were good and the music was awesome. Would definitely go again. Parking was fairly accessible.

Great place to see local up-and-coming bands. NSTs album debut was rockin. Great acoustics and selection of ales. Waitresses were helpful and busy. Considering the beer/dancing/loud atmosphere, the restrooms were very clean. Only $5 cover for a great time.

My last visit here was a pleasant surprise. With only a $5.00 cover I had no idea of the awesome Jazz experience on the other side of the door. The drinks were cheap and great and the Jazz musicians were outstanding. Not the cleanest/creme de la creme spot but really popping if you love Jazz music at its best

Cafe Nine is a gem in the CT music scene. It is a small long bar with a stage area by its front window facing State Street. They offer their venue to all music genres and allow us to see and experience a wide variety of musical acts that are non-mainstream. I enjoy going there on late Saturday afternoons/early evenings...
