We do not live in New Haven. We travel 2.5 hours to go to theater at Yale Rep and, of course, need to stay overnight. It's worth it. This is the program that spawned many wonderful actors and actresses, notably Meryl Streep. The plays run the gamut of genres. Under Bundy's leadership, there is always something new and creative: the... More

Serious acting. Audience filled with up-and-coming actors. This is theatre. I saw a lean production of a play (again, ALL MY SONS by Arthur Miller) and it was a great improvement over the movie version with Edward G. Robinson.

Actually attended a couple of shows put on by the Yale drama department and thought the acoustics and staging was excellent in both cases. An excellent place is see a show.

Did not see a play this time, but just being there to see it again was nice. I love the theta hand was a actor for a while and a stage hand as well for some time so just seeing it after all these years was like saying hello to a old friend.

This was my first visit to this church converted to a theater, and I enjoyed it. I'm assuming there are accessible entrances, but there were a number of stairs, and finding the restrooms was an adventure. Went to see Arguendo as part of the International Festival of Arts and Ideas, and truly enjoyed it. Hope to return soon.

Yale rep varies between good and great. If you are lucky enough to qualify for student tickets you can get a package of 6 at an unbelievable price. they can be used separately or together. What a deal.

For energy and talent, this show is hard to match. Yes, it could use some trimming--and more songs--before going to a bigger stage. But, for a fun evening with great send-ups of both the Bard and the Beatles, the Rep has done a great staging. There's plenty of on-the-street parking, ticket prices are modest, there's great Willoughby's coffee--free--before the performance.... More

This was our first visit to this theater and we found the staff very helpful and nice. We were lucky to get our seats changed to a better location. Just ask, if they have any "house seats" available when you arrive on the day of the show. The play is a combo of Shakespeare's Much To Do About Nothing and... More

The Yale Rep presents work that is intelligent, articulate, and often intellectually challenging. Through their connection to the Yale School of Drama, they also attract many of the theatre's first-rate talent - authors, directors, designers, and actors. As with many university theatres, their intellectual rigor occasionally veers into pretension. But even these are aesthetically engaging more often than not. I... More
