Architecturally, Yale University is a beacon for beauty, strength and innovation. The past meets the future and, lo and behold, they like each other. There's no point in going over its scholastic prowess or the diversity of the student body or its great influence in the world via its alumni, presidents, poets and philosophers. It is a force of its... More

My husband and I went on the free tour given by the university. It is given at Monday through Friday 10:30am and 2pm and Saturday and Sunday at 1:30pm from the visitor center. It is started by a video and then an undergrad takes you around campus. You learn about some of the early leader of Yale. You also learn... More

We visited Yale University at the end of october. It was wonderful to walk around the campus, even without a guided tour. We would highly recommend to visit the Yale Art Gallery. We also visited Harvard and Brown, but we found Yale and its historical buildings as the most beautiful ivy league university of the three - it felt like... More

They do nothing for the town of New Haven, crummy access to anything. Harvard is more well rounded. Love the blue horns at Football games (haven't been to one in a long time, however).

Walking around Yale made me feel like I was in a Harry Potter movie. It was stunning (especially the library!).

I found Yale to be the nicest part of New Haven but perhaps there is more. They offer tours, there were two the day I visited or you can grab a map or purchase a self tour. I opted for a map, fed my meter for an hour and a half and walked around the campus. Many things are behind... More

When I think of Hollywood New England, this is it. New Haven is idyllic, with beautiful little homes lining the streets. The University oozes regality and prestige. As we went in the fall, the scene was even more breathtaking than I imagine it would be during the rest of the year. I would definitely love to go back and explore... More

Yale goes all out to impress. The architecture is mainly Gothic. We took a tour with our daughter who is applying for colleges. It seems like Yale is trying to outdo Harvard for the most impressive buildings. We were able to tour the library which is designed like a Gothic Cathedral. Definitely over the top.
