the tour that starts at the yale visitor center is just great. the senior that showed us around had lots of interesting stories to share and gave us the option to get a short look into the life at yale, always adding his own experiences and stories. highly recommended!

The organisation of walking tours of the city by young students gives a lovely insight into the way this beautiful institution works. I'm 73 but it gave me the desire to go back to school.

Parking is a bit tough in New Haven, but this visit we just left the car in the hotel lot and walked all over campus. Getting to see the inside of the renovated Sterling Memorial Library was a treat. Beautiful!

See the Whiffenpoofs perform. Go to a football game or a hockey game. Visit the gallery. Hang out on campus. Wander through the Gothic colleges. Engage the students. Shop at the book store. It is a college like no other.

It was interesting walking around the colleges at Yale - very similar to Oxford and Cambridge in the UK (but obviously not as old). However Downtown New Haven lets the experience down - a few nice green spaces in the centre of town, but spoiled by the local winos and weirdos - needs a bit of a clean up but... More

I'm so glad I did this. I had previously visited and just wandered around myself. It's so much better with a tour guide. It was a brisk day and our guide was shivering the whole time, having come from Texas and not used the fall in New England. We saw and learned a lot. Do this tour!

Yale campus is much better than Harvard. Articulately designed, so serene and conducive to learning. Very classy. Architecturally awesome. It was a worthwhile visit. I want to come back here in my next US trip.
