This is a lovely park with paved roads for walkers, runners, and joggers. There is both flat areas and inclines. It is one mile around. The shell area has live musicians every Monday and Wednesday nights during the summer. There is dancing and families, friends and children have a good time. The children get up to dance as well when... More

Well maintain, with paved walkway. Flowers and lovely old homes in the area, which give a picturesque back drop to a walk in the park. Biking is another way of enjoying the area. Summer night often offer free entertainment under the stars. The Art Museum is in the same are area.

The city of New Britain has kept this park a beautiful place and it has fond memories for my family. In 1936 my parents had their wedding photos taken in the rose gardens. It is a beautiful place to stroll or walk and the track around the baseball park is a great place for a power walk or just s... More

Walnut Hill Park is a lovely green space for the family with an events hatch shell designed to encourage audiences and just a minute walk to another cultural gem, the Museum of American Art. Nice place to play for a day.

Close to the Museum of American Art, this park is another treasure. It is surrounded by beautiful Victorian homes and a destination for joggers and runners. Go to the top of the hill and view the recently restored rose garden and the memorial for World War I. The bronze plate memorializing soldiers lost in that war paint a very sad... More

I took this picture and posted my review here in 2010. (Today's post shows 2014 because that is the oldest date you can select from the drop down box when you post) That was my first trip to Walnut Hill as an adult and I was surprised to see all the changes. My wading pool was gone and that was... More

I go there for a walk, it is a very beautiful, safe and interesting place in New Britain, it is next to New Britain Museum of American Art. I enjoy walking there. On the top there is rose garden that can be considered as a meditation garden. There are a lot of events going on in summer months, especially outdoor... More
