The sporting fields are recently renovated, the music shell hosts summer concerts, the Rose Garden is beautiful and peaceful, the surrounding homes are dignified and reminiscent of days gone by. The Museum of American Art and the Hospital... More

Walnut Hill is a beautiful park. It is a great place to walk, picnic or just look at there beautiful rose gardens, and flowering trees, and flowers. They have free concerts at the band shell for everyone to enjoy. In the winter, we love to go sledding on the hill.

Located near downtown New Britain and in back of the New Britain Art Museum. This park includes a lengthy walking path that is heavily used by people of all ages. As an added benefit you get to view some of New Britain's Older more stately homes as you do the walk. Parking is available.

I used to live close to the park and it was a part of our daily routine. During summer, the concerts are free and fun and the walk is a nice time. There are lots of people that frequent the park which makes it nice. I walked during two pregnancies here and love it!

i grew up outside of New Britain and liked to walk up all the steps to see the monument. The wading pool is gone, but the bandshell is still there and in the summer there are bicycle races to watch.

This is close to my home and I am proud to live near such a beautiful park! It is well maintained with plenty of activities year round. Great spot for walking or just sitting under a tree reading a book. Another treasure in New Britain!
