Original 1898 functioning cider press. So fun to watch this in action. It is the only steam engine run press in the country, I believe. You can watch them press then sample regular and hard ciders as well as some varieties of apple wines. There are other novelties in the stores as well. Oh, and I should mention the cider... More

We visited B.F. Clyde's Cider Mill this past weekend and found the place to be unique and hidden gem. The mill was fairly crowded so we were only able to peak in to see the cider making process but it looked pretty cool. We visited the store and found lots of tasty goodies. The hot cider was delicious and perfect... More

Stopped by on a weekday. Nothing going on. Just a store and bakery. Nice old mill. Nothing special. Went in to taste Apple wine. No one offered us any we walked out. Bought some cider donuts. Didn't taste like apple cider? Could be really nice if the grounds were kept up.

We went based off of Trip Advisor suggestions and we're not disappointed! Seeing the cider press and getting to try all the different hard ciders was fantastic. A great way to start our long weekend in CT!

This is a really cool place where you can watch them make apple cider, as well as buy cider, donuts, pumpkins, crafts, etc. and taste cider-wine. I was actually there on Halloween morning and it was quite a happening place. A little hard to find and it was hard to park since it was so busy, but definitely worth the... More

Excellent fall weekend activity, but expect crowds. There are 2 lines at the counter for cider and donuts. One from each side of the building. One was shorter than the other. They had some other booths set up when we visited. One was selling Connecticut maple syrup which was very good. You can see a steam powered cider mill here.... More

The first time we went to see the mill we turned around and left as it was on a weekend--think no parking closeby with a LONG walk to the mill and the lines trying to get into the mill were very long! We decided to go back on a Wednesday when parking was much closer. The smell Is intoxicating--made one... More

You can't complain when the air if filled with the smell of apples and the press is working. a wonderful experience to talk to the staff and to see the press in action. The shop is filled with baked goods, cider and of course other items for purchase. The hot cider was on point and the fresh donut was on... More
