I have been going to Clyde's since I was a child. The cider has always been flavorful due to the press they use. The addition of hard cider has caused an explosion of popularity. Every weekend in the fall, Clyde's is backed out onto the street with customers. I recommend going during the week. Prices are a little high but... More

My girlfriend and I visited here on Columbus Day weekend. It looks like a great place, but the day we were there it was overrun with people. We had to park way down the road and walk to the mill. The line for cider and donuts was quite long and after waiting 15 minutes and not moving a step we... More

Went here with my wife and teenage daughter while visiting the area on an October Friday afternoon - it was quite active and busy then, so I'm sure the weekends are ever more busy but its worth it. Seeing the mill is fun and interesting, but the best part is the food and drink. Sampling the various hard ciders is... More

Cute place. They had live music playing. Hardly any parking when we went but I'm not sure if that's the norm or if it's because we went on a Sunday afternoon of a holiday weekend in October. People parked along both sides of the residential road, offering very little roadway to drive. In some areas only one direction could pass... More

We drove down to Old Mystic from our son's place in Manchester, Ct. and got a later start than we originally planned on. I knew the cider mill was open until 6:00 p.m. so we got there around 4:00. They had started pressing at 9:30 that morning and we were very disappointed to find that they had shut the mill... More

It's the oldest steam powered cider mill in the US, dating from 1881. That's all well and good but the best reason to visit it to eat some cider donuts. They were good, especially when washed down with from hot cider. A tip I was happy to follow!

I don't know how anyone could ever write anything negative about this place. I've been coming here since I was little. Now my kids enjoy it as much as I did. Yes it gets busy and trust me it's worth the wait. The staff and establishment are fantastic! Food and drinks are excellent. We never miss a year ....this is... More

We travelled from Rhode Island to Connecticut to check out this seasonal attraction. We went on a Monday morning, mid-afternoon. He cider was amazing and the apple dumpling did not disappoint us. We walked around the grounds. It definitely has the vibe of a seasonal general store. Lots of autumnal decorations and some Christmas decor as well. Sadly, you cannot... More

Clyde's if by far the best place to make you feel like fall is here. The cold cider fresh from the tap or the warm cider on a nice cool day... The aroma of fresh cooked cider donuts and other amazing baked goods like muffins, apple turnovers, and pumpkin bread are irresistible. They also have New England favorites like maple... More

We lived about a half hour drive from Clyde's for 10 years and going there was an annual trek. We are out of state now but when in the ares in the September to November time frame it is a must see. Great for families as youngsters can see the steam powered press and the process of making cider. For... More
