Gee, kinda steep cost for a Nature Center. The tree in the middle of the building is kinda cool. Otherwise, not all that much going for it. Don't forget the pest repellent! There is parking available and a nice farmer's market on Sunday afternoon across the street during the Summer months.

My family loves visiting DPNC! We love it so much that my older daughter went to the preschool there the year that it opened. We have taken classes there & attended events like their Halloween Trail & Easter Egg Hunt. Now my little one is in the Mommie & Me class. She loves it! We do a craft, read a... More

Beautiful area, stopped off for a short walk and was surprised by the fields of wild flowers. The tranquil lake and woods added to this little gem.

I always enjoy visiting this kind of venue but perhaps our choice of time to visit was not the best time to see what all the other reviewers enjoyed. We were greeted by a very helpful and nice lady and given info regarding the map we received. We went out and I found the 4-5 cages with the raptors/owls disappointing... More

We stopped by he aquarium and then this was our second stop. Very friendly lady welcomed U.S. and explained everything. There was camp going on and there was a group of students there. Nice hiking trails. Nice little shop. Rescue birds of prey were there. There were owls, a Peregrine falcon, red tail Hawks.

There were not many "live" animals to see. Lots of trails for hiking and a great indoor exhibit for seeing night creaturs in their own habitat.

Very nice nature preserve with a Birds of Prey exhibit of injured hawks and owls. The only place I know of that's pretty reliable for Barred Owl sightings. Just watch for ticks.

This is a great place to bring your children or grandchildren . A rustic wildlife sanctuary, there are hiking trails, great educational exhibits. A wildlife refuge, you'll see various native animals and birds who are recuperating from injuries , and you'll see them in as natural a state you'll find anywhere. Terrific on a chilly or rainy vacation day -... More

You can visit the nature center building and gift shop and look outside, you can visit the owls in their cages, or you can walk the extensive well-groomed wide (keeps the ticks away) of the woods and meadows and waterways of this compact, but varied nature center. Boardwalks take you over the wet spots and much of the area we... More
