You can visit the nature center building and gift shop and look outside, you can visit the owls in their cages, or you can walk the extensive well-groomed wide (keeps the ticks away) of the woods and meadows and waterways of this compact, but varied nature center. Boardwalks take you over the wet spots and much of the area we... More

Many attractions can be overwhelming especially to the younger children. We took our two grandchildren to the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center this past month. The children are 18 months and 4-1/2 years. We spent a great deal of time watching the turtle and frog exhibits. Nothing fancy, just a close up look with little competition from other children. Outside you... More

We went in early September. really not much to see. A very good walk, but a little on the longer side. Maybe in spring this would be a better place to go.

We had a great nature walk, very beautiful, live display of Owls, very children friendly. There is pond we saw turtles, there is a show describing all the animals and birds inside the park. Admission $ 8 which goes towards the conservation

I have to admit we didn't get out of the car, as it was a really cold, blustery day in late winter. But, we drove through it to visit for the afternoon with friends who live on the edge of it; and via asking them about it, we would recommend it! Maybe we'll go back one day!

I found the hiking trails to be extensive, well labelled and very nice. One easy trail went around a pond and we saw countless bullfrogs and interesting butterflies/dragonflies. Other trails are connected by a series of wooden boardwalks. On the grounds there are a few pens where you can see injured owls/birds of prey that aren't able to be returned... More

Nice and quiet , we went during mild heat and after rain so many mosquitoes . We made the most of it and had fun . Next time we''ll plan our hike in cooler weather . Pack a lunch and eat at the table by the parking area after you hike .

I often take my granddaughter to see the turtules , frogs, snakes and owls in natural habitat. They have a nice simulation of nightime where you can hear all the sound of animals and insects while sitting peacefully in the dark yourself. We like to count turtles sunning themselves as we walk around the pond. Last time we saw a... More

It's a quaint little nature center, but it's seen better days. There were cobwebs on the exhibits, and overall could use a little more maintenance. The trails in back were nice, but not worth the cost of admission.
