and head into Long Island Sound aboard the Argia, a two-masted gaff topsail schooner. The two and a half hour sail passes through the Mystic drawbridge and a railroad bridge on the Mystic River. The 3 person crew is well-versed on the area and the sights along the shore and in the river. Drinks and snacks are included, and you... More

We booked an afternoon cruise in October. The cruise is well organized and we had beautiful weather. It was nice to be on the water an see the land from a different perspective. My wife was a little cold but the supplied blankets. The water was a little choppy due to a bad day the day before, but I love... More

The Argia schooner cruise on the Mystic Harbor was a very "special" way to celebrate my son, daughter-in-law and 16 and 19 yr old grandsons birthdays. We even got a chance to cross off one of the listings on my husband's "bucket list" when the skipper gave him a chance to actually steer the schooner for a few minutes. Having... More

My husband and I had a delightful time on the sunset cruise. The staff were friendly and knowledable. There was only 6 passengers but we had a great time on the cruise. It was cool at night so it may be best to bring a jacket or sweater in Sept. The sunset was amazing. what a great night in Mystic!

We had an awesome afternoon sail on the Argia. The crew was friendly, knowledgable and fun! There is plenty of room, snacks and drinks and even blankets for the uninitiated that don't know it can get chilly out on the water. (Especially in September.) It was so worth the money, be sure to tip! These folks work hard while still... More

This is such a great experience. Very professional crew, with just the right balance of attention paid to the task at hand (sailing the beautiful vessel) and being receptive to the folks on board. All three of the friendly crewmembers explained about the various ships, homes, places of interest along the way. Some of the passengers helped steer for a... More

We took the sunset cruise ,unfortunately a storm was coming and we did not get much of a sunset, something that they can not control. We did however get a brisk wind and were able to be under sail most of the cruise, which was great. The 3 man crew was friendly , courteous and informative, although it was more... More

What a fun and beautiful cruise. We watched the crew climb the mast barefoot. Then hoist the sail and we were off up the Mystic River. Smooth sailing. I get seasick very easy and I was very uneasy about going. I never got the least bit sick. The river is very calm. They offered cheese and cracker platters. Lemonade or... More
