May 31, 2015 - While at downtown Mystic Seaport, we saw a flyer in a window that advertised the Argia Scooner day and sunset sails. So, we called them the next morning, May 31, and booked a sunset sail, which started at 5:30pm for two hours. The web site is: ArgiaMystic.com. It was a gorgeous night for sailing. The schooner... What a great family adventure! Reasonably priced for a day adventure. Wouldn't advise for a handicapped person as the head is reached by climbing down a ladder. Otherwise, it was educational and extremely relaxing as they raised the sails.

The sun was out, the breeze was great. The crew was friendly and answered our questions and told stories about the area. ( for their info there are 2 BASCULE lift bridges in OHIO... one in Ashtabula and one in Lorain )

My sister & I had never been on a sailboat. The Argia sits about 60 people, every seat was filled. We went on the 2p sail it takes about 2-1/2 hrs. We had perfect weather & once in the sound the winds were also perfect. Sails went up & the trip was peaceful & the scenery beautiful. Our 3 women... More

Three generations in our family had much to celebrate:a 75th birthday, a new job, and a high school graduation. This was the perfect way to do it. Beautiful boat, skilled crew, and a lovely sail in the Mystic River past Morgan Point to Fisher's Island Sound and back. Thank you Argia!

I had no idea what to expect never having been on a sailboat before. This was one great experience. The scenery was out of this world, the crew's narration informative, and the boat itself was a unique experience. I thought the time allotted was perfect. (One caution however- there is NO protection from the sun whatsoever.

I was very excited for this trip but the boat was overcrowded. Every available space was taken up. The crew is continually going through the crowded aisles and kept hitting me with things. The provided snack was mini bags of snacks with the worst cup of water I have ever had. It took longer to put up and take down... More

Karen, I am so sorry you were disappointed in your trip. We will be adding an FAQ section to our website to give our customers more guidance in selecting trips that will best fit their expectations. More popular sailing times result in a full ship, but there are always slower times of the day and week. Our office staff is... More

Nice amount of time for the cruise, complimentary beverages unusual and nice touch. Captain & experienced mate were very competent and had a good casual manner. One inexperienced crew member was quite competent for being in his 1st week on board. All crew members were well informed and friendly engaging in conversation when not too busy. Efficiently run operation from... More

Just love Argia Cruises! It is a great experience for a reasonable price. The crew is always personable and friendly - and it is great that they provide lemonade, but don't mind if you bring your own snack, champagne, etc. on board. My sister got married on board and we have celebrated many family events with a sail. It's a... More

The Guilford, Ct Senior center booked the Argia cruise for the 10:30 am cruise. It was wonderful. The crew of three women were knowledgable and very attentive to our needs. The weather co-operated after 3 days of rain. The cruise lasted 2 1/2 hours. Just enough time. We saw the new bridge go up to allow for our passage and... More
