My husband and I recently took a long weekend to Mystic and hit the touristy spots, including Mystic Aquarium, Seaport, and Village. We had a blast. Mystic Aquarium was the first attraction of the weekend, and it was worth the stop of the day. When we arrived, we picked up tickets at the main gate, and opted for the Mystic... more

Before setting off for our first visit to the Mystic Aquarium, I read several reviews which cited how expensive this attraction was. We set off and paid $24 for an adult admission and $17 for each child admission---- this price allowed us to visit the attractions including up close viewings of Belulga whales (only one of several places in the... more

If you have ten minutes to kill and a lot of money to lose, go to the Mystic Aquarium! It's not an aquarium---it's a huge project thrown together at the last minute. Worse, the park employees make a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to lose money and make you miserable the whole day! Me and my family went... more

We visited this Aquarium in July 2008 - we nearly didn't as my husband was a little put off by some of the previous comments on this site. Hey - this isn't Seaworld, but it doesn't advertise itself as that either. We were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the outdoor tanks and enclosures, and the fact that this... more

I expected alot more for the prices they charge. I was not impressed at all. The food in the food court was not very good either for the prices they charge. I'd skip it and opt for just the Seaport, Mystic Village, and Downtown Mystic instead! more

I went with my family to the Aquarium two weeks ago, it was nice but i feel that it could be better. The diversity in the sea creatures is Ok but I was very dissapointed with the shows or "classes" about the sea lions and beluga whales, it was my mistake maybe to believe that it was a show and... more

For $22 a head I expected a little more. Penguin exhibit was not open. Sea lion show was a 'training session' so it was very uneventful. The indoor exhibits were very general. A titanic exhibit with no artifacts. My wife loved it, so it made up for my disappointment. more

i have been to Mystic Aquarium two times and I enjoyed both times, I went with my boyfriend, and we really enjoyed it. the tickets are a lil pricey for what your getting because it really isn't that big. But the tickets are good for several days. They have beautiful displays of fish, and water life. I loved the penguins... more

It was ok! I mean you go to Mystic for the sea life and would expect the aquarium to blow you away, but there was none of that. It was expensive and when you finish you can't help but wonder did you miss something. When I went it was a rainy day which also took away since they do have... more

Waaaaaay too expensive. $22 for adults. Many exibits were empty or shut down for the winter (this was in Oct.). Grumpy workers or exibits were run by volunteers. They were nice, but couldn't answer questions and didn't explain the exibits at all. Dirty, Dark and Boring. Waste of a day. more
