Many years ago we had a family pass to the Aquarium. This was our first time back in 2 decades. Gone are the animal shows. I can still remember hearing my son excitedly ask if we could go see the "fishy jump". It was still nice to see though the price seems a little steep now.

About a year and a half ago, one of my brides (I am a wedding planner) told me about a wedding she went to at the Mystic Aquarium and how amazing it was. I had never heard of such a thing, but I loved the idea. When we visited and met Kathy Lloyd, we loved everything instantly! We booked the... More

I'm not a real fan of aquariums but was interested in seeing this one. Enjoyed watching the beluga whales and the sea lions and seals and penguins. What I really found interesting, though, was the Titanic exhibit. I learned something new which made it all the more fascinating. We spent about 2 hours there which was about the extent of... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium. We went twice during our stay in Mystic. (the second visit is free if you go 1-2 days later) It was small but we thought it was the right size for us. We went after Labor Day weekend so no crowds for us. The aquarium was nice and empty. We got to... More

From the jelly fish exhibit to the Beluga Whales (which we have never seen before at any aquarium) this place is just great. Not too big to see everything in a reasonable amount of time. Very good variety of reef fish, corals, sharks, and a good amount of hands on exhibits for kids. Lots of acreage for seals, sea lions,... More

Smaller size aquarium with lots to offer with what they have. The Beluga whales are wonderfully playful. They seem to love to interact with people through the glass windows. The manta ray touch pool is a nice activity for those that have never had the opportunity to do this before. Well worth the money to enjoy an afternoon or morning.... More

I took my granddaughter there and my nephew,we had a great time. Seeing all the different types of sea animals and learning about them was great. The place is very clean alot to see, plus there is an area where kids can touch different sea creatures like a sting ray or pick up a starfish. Nice place to go with... More

Unlike other aquariums I've visited, this one concentrates on marine animals in addition to fish. There are more mammal exibits, and the animals are almost all rescues, rather than bred or captured. Every exibit had knowledgeable guides immediately available for explanations. I loved the beluga whales, which I hadn't seen before. The exibits also seem more personal as they bring... More

The aquarium was a nice stop on my visit. I enjoyed the penguins the most. I strongly recommend a specialized camera for the indoor exhibit or using your camera on your phone. My camera did not take good photos; however, I got some really good ones on my phone.
