If you're in search of seashells, there all here! Amazing nature sight, showing the techniques of seagulls and other living creatures.

Always a great place for a wonderful walk along the shoreline. Clean and inviting. Walkway connects silver sands to walnut beach.

An interesting place to visit & to swim but be aware of the rocky nature of this place; parking could be quite a hike; portable toilets & no food concessions close by. Worth parking at & walking around Walnut Beach next door-where there are food options & better parking. For adventure seekers & photographers, if you can time it right... More

We didn't plan to go here today. We were in the area and stopped by to check it out. Nice clean quiet beach. Too many shells and rocks in there sand, so next time i'll have water shoes. I'm not crazy about port-a-potties but I guess it's better than nothing.

This is probably of the best shoreline beaches in CT. Great boardwalk for walking and running, the uniqueness of being able to walk to Charles Island during low tide make Silver Sands a nice beach to visit in the summer. No real bathrooms but the state park is free to visit.

I love this park. Be aware that there is no shade and bathrooms are only port-a-potties. Nice long boardwalk leads to Walnut beach, where you might find a food-truck. Sandy beach is also pretty full of shells. Water shoes are helpful. Long walk from the parking lot to the beach. Get there early on summer weekends- it fills up.

This beach is free (free parking also). Gets crowded pretty fast on summer weekends... The boardwalk is pretty long and offers a very nice walking path from Silver Sand beach to Walnut beach. The beach by itself is a little "rocky" so for kids wanting to play in the sand, it may not be your first choice (altough there were... More

Beach is loaded with shells make sure you bring water shoes and at low tide the seaweed is thick along the beach but it got better as the tide came in they have free parking and it wasn't over crowded. The kids loved it though

Our family of four did a two week vacation in New England, and this was the first beach that we hit. Unfortunately, the tide wasn't low enough to walk all the way to the island, but we could walk down the bar far enough to get the idea. There is a long walk from the parking lot to the beach...
