I've been riding for 30 years and have cantered on the beach many times. However, from the offset this appeared to be a poor riding stable. Caroline, (?)one of the workers argued with me about which entrance I should use! It wasn't clearly marked. Then I was shown to my horse. None of us received any safety briefings , even... More

Had a brilliant time on a beach ride in the October sun. Crossing the river the horses felt safe and the scenery was great. Even saw a heron before we got to the beach. Cantering along the water line was breathtaking and we went up through the sand dunes for even better views. Went on my own but the staff... More

The horses look & smell good. Horse grooms take care the horses very well. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to join them. That's a very good reason for us visit Ogmore again :D

Lots of good things: tack not the newest or best but in decent safe condition, scenery unrivalled and fabulous, tidy yard, horses very sane sensible & fun even cantering in fairly big group on beach, horses good with each other - no kickers/biters, staff friendly & plenty of them. Body protectors available if you want one and they looked to... More

Peaked in free car park by Portabello house. Walked parallel to river mouth. Many bird spotting opportunities. Walked along coast to Southerndown.very varied scenery. Limestone steps amazing to see fossils. Had lunch stop in 3cups pub in Southerndown. The Barn had closed sadly. Only used for weddings now. Car parks on main drag full but the are for walking along... More

First ever ride on a horse was from here about 25 years ago. It has the same appeal today as it did back then. A nice canter along the lapping waves and then through narrow paths in the dunes. A real treat where you will enjoy even if you're a very accomplished rider or if you've never touched a horse... More

Me and family have just been to Wales for a holiday, and as I already ride I wanted them all to try it out, this was the closest farm to us. We went on a 2hr trek, along shingle and beach, through the lovely dunes. There was a horse for all abilities and that was taken into consideration when they... More
