Unbelievable. It may sound banal and trite but what else if not surreal. The place is calm and the White rann stands out. The easiest way to reach is to go to bhuj and then about one and a half hour journey. It may be possible to strike a deal for entry in the White rann with BSF but not... More

Awesome place to visit in a group..U cn have a great time here. Try to reach there by 3 . You will have to walk for 2 kms to reach the actual rann from the entrance. So, you get to spend 3:30 to 6 at the rann. There are some vehicles available to take you thru these 2 kms, although... More

Located in Kutch district of Gujarat, India and the Sindh province of Pakistan in famous Thar Desert. This spot became popular post start of Rann Utsav. It is a pure white seasonal salt marsh. A must visit if you are visiting Gujarat but avoid in summers as temperature can go upto 49 degrees. Generally organised during full moon night in... More

A small tip if you are visiting during Rann Utsav. The place gets crowded so find yourself a spot far away from the crowds and away from the street lamps. The street lamps spoil the scene and the salt near the road ends is not crystal clear. Aim for the somewhere in the middle. Sit back and lie down to... More

Visited with friends and we reached minutes before the sunset and were mesmerized by the view. It was a beautiful experience to walk in the desert. We went again in the night around 9 pm to see the magic of moonlight on the white desert. Beautiful experience!

Oh this is a salt desert and the best time to visit during the winters. We went on a full moon night . We had heard that the best time to go was in the night but were a wee bit disappointed as it was not so beautiful. The good part was seeing the sun set and the full moon... More

The Great Rann of Kutch is no longer pristine and white atlas when you enter it. Commercialisation has made it dirty. The camels dirty the area. The area should be maintained. You have to walk too far to witness the white sand.

As usually said " Beauty lies in the Eyes of Beholder", this certainly stands true for Rann of Kutch. This place has become a tourist destination out of nothing so do not build any expectation. If you want to enjoy White Rann of Kutch in the Moon Light then avoid Kutch Festival as the Flood Lights ruin the view. Great... More
