Rann Utsav was a real shocker for me and my girlfriend. Our experience was nothing but negative. The tent camp is packed with plastic tigers and camels, just for tourists to click a picture with. Also, we were told that we could make a 'camel safari.' Well, that did not happen, its only possible to sit on a camel for... More

A very well organised fest. Showcased Gujrat successfully. Must credit those behind the spotlight sweated to set up such a huge gala event that lasts couple of months. Cleanliness and absolute sense of security are the milestones. Absence of men in uniform armed to the teeth is conspicuous and speaks volumes about general security situation in this remote border area.... More

An explorer when he goes to see new places enjoys the sights, the shopping, the stays and the local cuisine. However the Rann Festival has become more commercial and less local. The stalls were selling south indian and chinese food, instead of local kutchi cuisine. The handicrafts were mostly those we find in any Mela in India. The accomodations around... More

We visited Rann in Jan End, during Rann festival. The white desert is truly mesmerizing. It is a photographer's paradise at sunset and sunrise. The beautiful white desert expanding endlessly in front of your eyes at sun set can stun you. You can enjoy the camel and the horse rides for 50 Rs per person. I recommend choice between phase... The Land of the White Salt Desert and exquisite art and craft, Kutch is a quiet haven though often overshadowed by neighbouring Rajasthan. If you are looking for lots of colour, generous doses of history, exquisite carvings, intricate art, flaming flamingos, flying cranes and different migratory birds, then Kutch, India is the ideal place for you !!

You have to visit this place to see what the nature has to offer mankind. It is nothing but an unbelievable experience. I went there on a full moon light and the blue lit white desert just took my heart away. I cannot describe what I saw but you should not miss this incredible destination.

The rann is totally out if the world! Nothing like anything else, vast expanse of white desert, great food and an awesome Gujarati hospitality make for an enthralling trip. There is no other way to overstress it, do visit on a full moon night for a view of a lifetime! Do try amazing food in Bhuj, along with great street... More
