This is the closest you can get to staying in the Rann. The Rann Utsav is organized by the Gujarat government every winter. The key feature of the utsav is the "tent city" in Dhordo. Apart from the opportunity to stay in the "tent city", the festival provides an opportunity to experience the music, handicrafts and food of the region.... More

Everything including food, accommodation, service was excellent. The food was very tasty. Rooms were small but very comfortable. On top of that they provide excellent service to travelers.

We have visited to see Rann....but its very different this time because of heavy rain in JULY....the Rann became like a SEA....all around we have seen the water....it was very beautiful and rare to see at Rann...I have my own doubt this time Rann festival will be happen or not.....

I visited here during famous Rann Festival and luckily the day was full moon... It is a 70 km long white salt desert continued upto Pakistan. Previously Arab Sagar used to be here which later dried and this desert formed. The ground is pure white and it should be specially visited in winter and summer is typically hot here. Varieties... Kutch half part made of rann, foreigners are visit here and yearly ranotsav occasion come. All artisan make preparation of festival an artist singing dancing.

do visit this during winter season and enjoy the rann utsav and do visit indo - pak border. please visit this place as soon possible so that you can enjoy the day and the place. even visit the nearby place of kutch so that you can click the snaps for memory. do visit in rainy or winter so that you... Travel during the Rann Festival as infrastructure is better those days and heat is low.... I had gone during mid Feb while the festival was towards end and didn't stay there. Morning 9 to 11 saw high increase in temperature and wind flow. Morning or evening, not night is a suitable time to take a walk deep in the Rann.... More
