When we visited it was a cold day so we did not take in any outside views . Enjoyed the old charm of the building neat wood work and slightly bent floors and stairs, wood fire places added ambiance. Our group(4) had done the full tasting 11 wines with cheeses and crackers and chocolates learned about what to pair with... More

We had a Groupon for 4 to tour, taste and experience this vineyard. And glad we did. Not sure why there are negative reviews because we had a great time. Super friendly service (Carmen was very informative and extremely pleasant), a very ample tasting and the cheese and other snacks were delicious. Thanks to everyone at HB!

Went here for a wine tasting on my sisters birthday, our table of eight was told to quiet down. We apologized and said we were celebrating a birthday, were told by the owner that the other guests were not there for a party!!!!! We were not rude or obnoxious, just laughing and having a good time obviously they don't value... More

A group of us planned a nice "Vineyard Day Tour" visiting 3 vineyards in the Litchfield area for a close friend's Birthday this past Sunday 12/29/2013. Haight-Brown was our final stop. . . and unfortunately the most disappointing. As a courtesy, one from our party called days before to tell them a group of 11 or so would be coming... More

In order to manage our tasting room floor and properly meet staffing requirements, we require groups of 8 or more to reserve a private tasting. Policy and pricing was explained to a member of your group, and agreed to by that member, who then requested the private tasting. As a result, we brought in extra staff and prepared the room... More

The staff, especially the manager Carrie, should visit both Hopkins and Sunset Meadows to see what a real vineyard experience should be. We were lied to and overcharged because we were a party of 10...yes I said ten!!! First they told us they require a private room for "large parties" with an additional charge of $25 for the room. The... More

My family decided to explore the Ct. Wine trail. Haight-Brown was our last stop and wow what a disappointment. To begin, my cousin tried to give the winery a heads up that there would be approximately 10 of us. She called 3 times and not once did anyone return her call. The day before us coming she was finally able... More

We decided to visit the tasting room on the spur of the moment and spent a couple of pleasant hours tasting, chatting with the staff, and exploring the gift shop. We're familiar with regional wineries in NH, NY, and PA, and wanted to try a CT winery during our weekend there. For $9 per person you get a good sized... More

First visit to this winery and to Connecticut to visit wineries. I was impressed by the tasting room and the presentation of the wines at the tasting. Staff was very knowledgable and enjoyable. It was a comfortable tasting as it was the only winery that offered bar stools to sit at during the tasting. They also offered cheese and chocolates... More

After having visited this winery many times over the years, with varying results, I felt the need to write a review based on my recent experience. I opened a bottle of Picnic Red from Haight Brown and knew right away that there was something wrong with it - the wine had a yeasty, almost fizzy taste. I do know a... More

We went to the H-B Wine Festival this weekend with a Groupon from our friends and were less than impressed. We expected soooo much more for $20 a head entrance fee. Great live music! Out of 10 wines at the tasting I can honestly say we didn't like any. And they were over priced even for a small vineyard. Maybe... More
