Although recently updated it lacks the pizazz most big city arena possess. Certainly functional enough for minor league hockey and college basketball but that about it.. But who wants to spend 500 million for a new place and for what?

The venue was clean; the event was well organized. Most seats have a great view of the floor. Food choices were limited, and not very healthy (considering the type of event hosted).

We spent three days cheering our team and found the XL Center seating quite comfortable. We moved around to different sections and were able to see everything. The jumbo tron in the center was great for viewing too.

If it were a possible selection, I would say my experience and the operation of this venue overall is worse than horriffic! I attended the event Life in Color with two friends. We all got separated as soon as we got inside. We tried to find eachother all night. One friend, who was also my ride had to charge her... More

It was the first time in two years. I love the renovations they did. The place is much nice than the dirty dingy place I was expecting. Like all arenas, the concessions are very expensive so we ate out prior to the game. However, with the place we went to, I would have been better off paying the prices at... More

I've gone to the XL Center a few times for basketball games and taken the children for circus events. They start overcharging when you park your car and it continues when you get inside. Making a profit is ne thing. Gouging is another. I have not gone back for any evens during the past year and do not plan on... More

The areas near the concession stands, in back of the seats, is wider now and not as prone to gridlock. They eliminated some of the stand in the walkway, which helps. But the basic configuration of the building still means you can be farther away from the court than you should be in a building that holds 17,000. Having said... More

Attended Hartford Wolf Pack vs WBS Penguins hockey game. Although the arena is over forty years old, it appears to be in good shape. The concourse is very bright and clean. The food and drink options would suit all tastes and needs.

Don't live in the area so I don't come as often, but it is nice to see the updating. It has to be hard to expand the concourse and it did seem to open it up a little bit. It is still falling behind other downtown arenas but still has some life left in it. For concerts the sound is... More
