We've attended many performances there over the years...starting back in the '80's in their old venue. The "new" Hartford Stage is a vast improvement and constructed in such a was as to provide an intimate theatre experience to every seat in the house.

I saw A Christmas Carol, and in the beginning the acting was so convincing with ghost acting that I could only stay still. The rest of the play was enthralling, and the humor sprinkled in was visible.

We have had season tickets in the past and loved it. The size of the theater is wonderful, not a bad seat in the house. There are lots of good restaurants in the immediate area also.

This theater puts on plays that offer great professional theatrical experience without traveling to NYC. It is a small to medium sized theater with parking (for a fee) in a complex next to it. I would definitely check to see what was playing if I was visiting in the Hartford area.

I enjoy Hartford Stage not only for their seating space, but also for the top notch performances they present. With gas prices being high, coupled with NYC show prices, Hartford Stage gives me quality at an affordable price. Thanks Hartford Stage & thanks to the artistic director and everyone associated with making such a positive theater experience available!

Almost every seat in the house is great! There is a nice bar for the grownups. The seats are comfortable. Please stop harassing your patrons through telemarketing. It's annoying.

I'm in my mid-forties, and have been a subscriber with my family since I was a child. This theater rivals any theater on Broadway, and has nothing but first class productions. From the gorgeous sets and costumes, to the incredible casts, you can't go wrong. There isn't a bad seat in the house, parking couldn't be more convenient, and the... More

Sometimes the plays are too avant-garde for my taste, but you cannot beat this theater company. I really think it's one of the best gems in the greater Hartford area. I have been to see their Christmas Carol production five times (five different years); it is so magical and captivating. All the plays are very professional and well-done. The theater... More
