We attend a few shows every year and I am always so impressed with The Hartford Stage. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the performances are excellent! The renovations that were recently completed are tasteful and reinforce that the Stage is a class act. The performance of Kiss Me Kate was top notch, easily something worthy of... More

The Hartford Stage is a gem. Their last play, Kiss Me Kate, was truly of Broadway caliber including the acting, sets and lighting.

Wonderful plays that are well done. Have a subscription to entire season. We have enjoyed season tickets for 7 years and thoroughly enjoyed the programs.

I have been to many shows here and it is one of my favorites. The side seat are very good for the money and the shows very well done. If you like going to live shows and no sitting home watching TV than this is a great choice.

Hartford Stage is a regional professional company with a new director as of last year. He's Darko Tresnak and he is simply terrific. Any one of the shows produced there are first rate and as good as any on Broadway. In his first year one of his plays did go to Broadway and won a Tony for best new musical.

I'm a resident of Hartford and have been to Hartford Stage several times. Most recently, I attended its famous "A Christmas Carol" production in December. This is Scrooge as you've never seen him. The director marvelously combined outstanding acting and costuming with incredible Special FX! I had a floor seat and even up close the "ghosts" still looked very real.... More

Shakespeare was a sexist because everyone was back then & Cole Porter had the same excuse but Darko just wanted to make my feminist friend frenetic-she wanted to jump up & stop the music. She was more fun than Tom's Harry Dick.

The plays at the Hartford Stage are expertly acted and directed. The current director won a Tony for "a Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" which played at the Hartford Stage before it went to Broadway. Each production is astounding. Don't miss an opportunity to go.

The last production of the season Kiss Me Kate was outstanding. It was a little out of the ordinary for Hartford Stage as productions are usually straight plays.several seasons ago AGentleman's Guide to Love and Murder was introduced here before going on to Broadway. There is usually one Shakespeare and a least one comedy plus a new play and several... More
