After having toured the Old State House where we learned a lot about the History of Hartford and Connecticut it was very cool to see and be able to pay respects to some of the key figures we had learned about earlier. We weren't there at the right time for a tour which I'm sure would have made us appreciate... More

I've been to several shows at the Bushnell recently, and it's always exciting to go into the 'city' at night and see a play, musical or a concert. It's smaller than the major Broadway theaters, so you have a good chance of getting a seat with a good view instead of sitting a mile away! The parking is very easy... More

I attended a conference at the Bushnell and there were breakout sessions in the two theaters and then in a meeting room on the top floor. It was a lovely venue with great acoustics. Staff was attentive and friendly.

I recently attended a concert at the Bushnell and it was a really nice venue. We saw virtuoso guitarist Joe Bonamassa perform and it was an amazing show. The Bushnell was charming, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. My girlfriend got her wine and I got my Jack Daniels in the upstairs lounge and we settled into our seats in the front... More

We were in the theater section of the Center - mezzanine. Love the ambience - art deco with some updates. Comfy seats, pleasant ushers, with good attitudes (all volunteers). Free parking across the street for events (welcome!). First time there (we live closer to New Haven and New York), won't be our last.

We got tickets to the Hartford Symphony Orchestra concert called Playing with Food. The Bushnell is impressive. The seats were comfortable. The painted ceiling is interesting and there is a huge Chihuly chandelier in an adjoining room. We got seats in the fifth row about 10 seats from the right wall. The acoustics were very good. Carolyn Kuan is a... More

My wife and I went here to see the Book of Mormon a couple of weeks ago. We went hear instead of to one of the shows in Boston because it was only an hour's further drive from our home in NH and the tickets were half the price. Our show was packed but I didn't feel like we were... More

The Bushnell, as it is called by us natives, has two halls; the larger hall is the original performance venue with interesting design (just look up and see airplanes on the ceiling), including a large and beautiful sounding built-in organ which we hear too infrequently. The smaller hall is relatively new and boasts wonderful accoustics, enhancing the sound of our... More

Beautiful building. We were there with our 2 grown sons and their ladies. We were seated - better description - stuffed into the balcony. The seats are nice but not suited for anyone that isn't slim. We could hear most of the dialogue but were too far away to see the players facial expressions and we missed some laugh lines.... More

The acoustics at the Bushnell are superb. I heard Yo-yo ma, Isaac Stern, Jaime Laredo and Emmanuel Ax play Brahms piano quartet no. 1 there and it was breathtaking. The hall resonated beautifully with Ma's cello. Best venue for this type of performance imaginable except for possibly the Pabst in Milwaukee. I have heard symphonies, operas, and Carol King from...
