We intended to take our 4.5 year old granddaughter ice skating - the park has a free outdoor rink with free use of skates - how cool is that? She wasn't going for it so we rode the indoor carousel which was worth every penny of the $1 we paid. Just a lovely ride for little people. The playground outside... More

I was moving around in the park during 2012-13, Very beauriful park, you see a different view of this park during summer and snow filled park in winter. I like to visit very often.

I have been here so many times throughout my life. They always have something going on. Concerts, jazz, rallies, jogging, benches for lunch, feed the ducks, or take your kids on the merry-round. We took our grand daughter to see HELLO KITTY 2 summers ago, and they had a free fun train ride. First Night on New Years eve with... More

located close to the center of Hartford. It has both running and walking paths, a beautiful pond, a recently ENCLOSED carousel, all in plain view of the State Capitol. Summertime outdoor events (concerts, etc.) are prevalent. Check events calander

Bushnell Park, situated in downtown Hartford and next to the train station, is a great break from urban life. It's a wonderful place to go for a walk, wait for your train, or get away from work for a bit.

This area of Connecticut is very beautiful and historic. The Park is a great place to stroll around on the walking paths behind the beautiful spires of the Capitol building. There is a pond and a beatiful fountain, a Carousel and street vendors all around the outside streets of the park at lunchtime. My office was directly across from the... More

I just love this park! It may not be Central Park but it is the center of attraction for city residents and outsiders. Everything takes place at Bushnell Park, i.e, the Jazz Festival, cultural events and parades, marathons, concerts, family day events...just about "everything" begins or ends up at the park. During the day, its a place where runners, walkers... More

Was looking for a safe place to run. The riverfront was too desolate and not open space. Wondered over to Bushnell and found a nice safe open place to run. Saw other runners, dog walkers and people strolling. Pretty park, safe and open space to run, walk and visit.

Loved this park for its openness, green-ness, accessibility, focal points, and high activity level. Lots of people walking and biking it or relaxing on benches enjoying the vuew if the water features or the Capitol with its good dome. The walking trails were oases and crisscross end each other so that you were tempted to go in so many directions.... More

I love this park! In the summer months there are many festivals or concerts in the park! They are free and great places to bring children! It's a great place to go for a walk or have a picnic with some friends!
