Nice walk

We were doing a little exploring and came upon the park. We only walked around the area on the back side of the Capitol. Next time we come to town we will explore more of the park.

Great summer day trip with small kids. Ride the train in and ride on the carousel. The kids enjoy both.

Beautiful park right in downtown Hartford. Sculptures and water features are interesting. Wish the carousel was operating but it was being repaired. Next time!

At Bushnell Park you get a sense of how old Hartford use to be in its glory days! It's a nice place to take a noon walk and check out the coy fish or take your dog for a walk.

Very good park in the middle of downtown to sit & relax or play. Walk amidst the cool & pleasant trees gives a nice feeling!

Maybe it was just the construction, but the park left me with a very meh sort of feeling. Nothing special here. Just a park in the middle of Hartford.

I liked the park's close proximity to the Civil War Memorial Arch and The Capitol Building. You will see people having picnics and getting tans, everyone seems happy and peaceful there. Never mind the occasional homeless dude here and there, they don't bother anyone.

This park is the home of the Sailors and Soldiers Memorial Arch. Nice grounds and the State House is located within the grounds.

My companions and I spent a lovely time exploring Hartford's large center city park. It has lovely meandering paths, a central Civil War arch and great views. Couldn't see the carousel. That was closed for repairs.
