A group of Friendship Force members from Toronto visited this Trash Museum with the Hartford group. What an unexpected morning of interesting information. This is a great museum allowing us to see a working trash recycling plant. There are cameras showing the working conveyor belts and viewing windows allowing us to see the workers on the job. Well done. I... More

My husband and I live in Manhattan and wanted to spend the day together during Spring Break at a place that would not be full and crowded. We drove the hour and 45 minutes to the CRRA and found a gem well worth the drive. A real recycling plant, The Trash Museum has exhibits that explain what happens to trash,... More

I just don't know - my kids love visiting the garbage museum! Ages 7 and 8 at the time. it is an interesting relatively small place, that you can visit for an hour or two. There is a nice video presentation, but their favorite part is the viewing window - where they thrill in looking for rats to run out... More

This is a great little museum. Very well planned and lots of hands-on things to do for kids and adults. If you are interested in recycling and ecology, it is a must-see.

Great educational museum. Teaches about our refuse stream and how it is handled. Good for classroom and tours. Hands and eyes on activities.

Just throw it away? Get a good look at "away." Every grade school child should get to see this. It promotes careful shopping, conservation, recycling, etc.

These people put your trash to good use and it is great! I love the creativity that comes along with the trash collectors. I wouldn't just go there though. I went there with some friends. It is great for kids though.
