When the roses are in bloom it will take your breath away. There is a great restaurant right on the grounds., or pack a lunch and have a picnic ....

In my opinion there are two things to like about Elizabeth Park: the rose garden and the Pond House cafe. Both are at their best when the roses are blooming. When the weather is good, it's enjoyable to eat outdoors at the cafe after roaming the acres of roses and other flowers. Bring your camera.

If you want to see another pretty rose garden go to Elizabeth Park in June to September in West Hartford, Connecticut. You will really love it, they have 10,000 roses and you can get married there.

I haven't been back in years as I live on the west coast now. BUT, The Rose Garden in Elizabeth Park was a gem! Lovely place for a picnic. I remember reading years ago that Hartford was the best place in America to be, weather-wise, in June. Guess what else happens in June? Roses are blooming. I remember a long... More

This park is beautiful when the roses are in bloom. The Pond House cafe has a good selection of food, kind of high prices and I would not go there for a buffet. Average food. Ordering from the menu is better. A really beautiful park with a pond and ducks.

Elizabeth Park is a great place for a picnic or a walk in the park. There are beautiful flowers from spring throughout fall. The rose garden is great and an amazing place to take pictures. This is definitely a good place to visit by yourself, or with anyone that appreciates nature.

The roses are spectacular but I could just live in the rock garden. The peaceful little nooks have so much character. Even one of them in your back yard would change your vacation destination. Perfectly lovely.
