Elizabeth Park is well worth a visit any time of the year. Roses in May-June, colorful annual gardens, dahlias in late summer and spring in the greenhouses - what could be better. Of course, a visit to the Pond House is a must.

There is no place like Elizabeth park rose garden. My friends who live out of state cannot seem to get enough of it and miss it when they go home. It's peaceful and quiet , nice place to relax. You can even bring your pup.

I didn't know what to expect, because all I had heard about was the "rose garden". The rose garden is stunning, even when the roses are going by. There are so many roses to see and smell; it's just lovely. The gardens are surrounded by other themed gardens, which are all tended to by hard working gardeners who are more... More

I wasn't sure what to expect from this park and was SO glad I decided to stop by! I couldn't believe how many different types and colors of roses there were! In addition to the rose garden, there is an annual garden, herb garden, and rock garden. It is definitely worth a visit!

I have been going to this park for years -it's lovely anytime of the year. The rose garden is beautiful during the summer months. there are paths throughout the park and fields to sit and picnic. Also during the summer, the park offers free concerts each Wednesday.

The rose garden is Hartford's gem. After avoiding near destruction in the 70s, it has regained its original luster thanks to dedicated volunteers. The rose garden itself is better than that in New York or Boston, but that is just the beginning of the experience. Seasonal flowers of all varieties, from dahlias to lilacs abound. The park is a true... More

Wow what a great park! Over 100,000 roses of many types overwhelm your senses with pleasure! A great place to take the family on Friday nights for a movie in the park, or just a BBQ! Outstanding fun for the whole family!

Great place to take pictures and enjoy nature! There is an open space where people were playing frisbee and we saw several couples and children taking engagment, maternity, and family photos in the gardens. The flowers are so pretty and the food (hotdogs, ice cream, drinks) are priced fairly well... the inside food is very expensive however. It was great... More
