After a gentle stroll from West Hartford we arrived at Elizabeth Park. We sat on a bench overlooking the lake admiring the scenery including the wildlife. For the next hour or so we wandered around the park, the flower beds were gorgeous and we took quite a few photos of them. However we were very disappointed with the rose gardens.... More

The tulips in the spring are stunning. Haven't seen the rose gardens yet, but I've heard great things!

The place is filled with gorgeous vintage looking architecture objects, such as stone arch bridges, glass greenhouse, and of course the rose garden. Seems like a prefect place for a wedding.

Elizabeth Park is a treasure on the border of Hartford and West Hartford. The rose garden is amazing in spring and early summer and the perennial gardens and annual gardens are equally wonderful. This is a beautiful park and a great place for a picnic or stroll. There is a very nice restaurant in the park as well.

Great park. Go to the rose garden you may enter upon a wedding or photo shoot. Also they serve great ice cream by the pond house. Great for a walk or bike ride.

There are small parks within the park, ie Asian garden, etc Visit the duck pond, gazebos, green houses, play with your dog in the fields. Play tennis, get a softball game together, or jog the track.... More

My favorite time to visit is June when the roses are all blooming and the perennial & annual gardens look fabulous. Flower sale in the Spring a must! Concerts in Summer. Just love it!

Love Elizabeth Park when the roses are out. There are so many rose types and you can even purchase types you like to plant in your own rose garden. Sometimes there is music out on the small gazebo or local talent just hanging out for the day playing to whomever is listening. Its a great place to just hang out... More
