One of Hartford's treasures

One of New Englands more beautiful parks and rose gardens. If you are in the area it's worth a drive through. Better yet stop. get out, and smell the roses !!

I liked. If you have time to promenade with your lovely family. So many kinds of roses raised in this Elizabeth Park, and So beautiful scenery, to spend all afternoon and enjoy your family time. Everyone is longing for it. I said you will love it.

The park is known for the roses and going here when they were in bloom, it was easy to see why! They have many different varieties that you can wander around and enjoy the scents. It's fairly impressive how many there are. There is also a lovely perennial garden and a shade garden for a little bit of cool on... More

Especially nice when all the roses are in bloom...when I was a kid, we used to visit here ever summer to check out the flowers and the lily pond. It's a bit more developed now, and is still a popular place for wedding photos.

Beautiful at this time of year – June. The roses are in bloom as are many other varieties. The walker / runnèrs are many. Rear camera for their many photo opportunities.

While this park has acres of open grass areas, the highlight is the rose garden. There are dozens of different rose plantings and each is identified by type of rose and donor. There is also a cafe on the grounds which features an eclectic seasonal menu. During our visit a wedding was being performed and there was an outdoor reception... More

great place to visit and relax! The rose garden is absolutely beautiful, the landscaping otherwise is also beautiful. The Pond House is great for gatherings and receptions. The entertainment in the park during the summer is great and free and easy to find a spot to see the bands. They also sometimes show movies outside which is cool. It is... More

Loved the variety of roses at Elizabeth Park. The rose arches with the gazebo as a backdrop is so beautiful! The park also features a lot of decorative trees and perennial plants. There's a pond (with ducks and geese) featuring 3 fountains... with benches inviting you to sit and just relax. There's also a restaurant inside the park.

The roses and irises are amazing. The expansive garden beautifully landscaped and is full of lush trees and some large ponds which makes it pleasing to the eye and very serene. The rose garden is perfect for pre wedding pictures and the actual party itself. There are quite a few historical green house and old buildings which gives a sense... More

A lovely park - and when the roses are in bloom you will have to vie for a parking space and a picture perfect opportunity - but the abundance of roses, and the scented air will keep you coming back annually. Really a gorgeous park - There is a cute cafe on the grounds, and annuals for sale at different... More
