Awesome park! Came here because I'm from a land locked area so I wanted to get a taste of the beach. Nicely cleared walking path around the park and tons of shells at the beach! Not really any waves but more like a lake type setting. Only downside is its about a 30 minute walk to the beach which I... More

Bluff Point State Park is the perfect place for a nice long walk with beautiful scenery and easy access. Not sure what it's like in summer months, but in Fall and Spring, not very crowded and the most beautiful views of the ocean! Great for catching up with friends.

Although I have lived in the area for a number of years I had not taken advantage of this particular spot. I like to walk an average of five miles/day and frankly have been looking for a new venue. This is an excellent choice. The path from the parking lot to the beach is approximately 1.5 miles long and there... More

Great trail system that ends up with views of Long Island/Fishers Island Sound. What more can you ask for? Great for walking the dog. The wind definitely kicks up in the winter but the water views are worth it. A lot of parking.

Much of the trail has a water view. Great for dog walking. A little rough for biking. Could be a 5 star in the fall.

We visit Bluff Point several times during the year. There are great hiking/biking/running/just walking trails from the parking lot to the point. It is about a mile to the point-that portion is fairly level with a wide path. When you are almost to the point, there is a pebble beach area that extends out into the cove for about .3... More

Lovely trails, quiet tranquil woods and water. Lots of wonderful little slices of heaven to discover. Must see the giant rock and little salt water ponds. Lots of dog walkers, runners and fisherman. Watch out for equestrian excrement, as it's a definite locale for that. Yes, that's right. Horse poop.

I haven't been to Bluff Point in years and loved it as much as before. You start walling along the marsh, then through the woods, and then come out and overlook Long Island Sound. It is a great place to walk. It was a cold day but many people were enjoying the park. It is worth a stop if you... More
