Great place for walk, breath fresh air, stretch out, jog, or simply read a good book. It's always good to have a place like this close by.

Terrywile is known for it's many hiking trails and historic castle on the property. There is a beautiful garden and mansion as well. The hiking trails are well maintained and provide both quick hikes or lengthy ones.

Tarrywile Park is a beautiful spot pretty much in the middle of Danbury. It has great hiking routes and well as paths for the less ambitious person. There is a lake some benches to sit and relax. There are also picnic benches near the Southern Boulevard parking lot. They are more in the shade. Picnic benches a little further down... More

Tarrywile Mansion and its grounds are lovely. There are several easy hiking trails you can do in an afternoon, even with a young family. The landscaping is well maintained. There are areas where you can picnic and the remains of a castle on a hill (watch out for the poison ivy). There isn't a lot to do in Danbury besides... More

The trails at Tarrywile are very well marked, and kept, and are easy to explore. The views are fantastic and there are levels of difficulty for all levels of hikers - from a leisurely stroll to a challenging hill climb.

Tarrywile is a beautiful park and great for hiking, walking, relaxing outdoors, etc. The mansion is also quite beautiful, and is really nice place for weddings and banquets. The grounds of the park are much larger than they appear at first and really do deserve a couple visits to fully appreciate the beauty of this park.
