I love going to Bantam for a movie, but both viewing rooms are small and do fill up, so get there early on weekends and opening nights to avoid craning your neck because you had to sit in the front row. I have been there often when every seat is taken...and sometimes can't sit with who I came with. That... More

After visit to Lake Waramaug in the afternoon, we drove to Bantam to watch a movie at the Bantam Cinema. The theater is small and lovely. The attendant was very friendly. The selection of movies was good.

Thank goodness there are still a few independent movie theaters so one can find films that appeal to an older (not teen) audience. Small theater and screen, but at least there is the opportunity to see non-blockbuster films.

I really like the Bantam Cinema because it has that small town flair the the old movie theatres used to have. The concession stand is excellent -- lots of fresh homemade goodies and they do a lot of special days with celebrity speakers.

Bantam Cinema is like having your own private screening room. A true gem in Litchfield County. Not to be missed!

We live close by and go here all the time. We love their movie selections (unique; they steer clear of the block-busters that you can see everywhere else). Small, intimate, not a bad seat in the whole house. WE LOVE IT!

Even though it could use an update, this is one of my favorite movie theaters in Litchfield County. It shows movies I want to see.

Bantam cinema is a great place to see a limited release, Indy or foreign film. Small and intimate, they make great popcorn and help yourself to the melted real butter! Coffee and nice baked goods too.

tired of billion-plexes? tired of same old films offered in the billion-plexes? Here is a small, independently owned theater that shows first run art films. It is quirky, unique and has really comfortable seats.
