Nothing gets your pride surging to be an American, than to listen to a top symphonic band playing patriotic music with gorgeous Purple Mountain Majesties in the background. This Amphitheater is acoustically pleasing and so very beautiful. The mountains offer so much beauty in the summer. My hope is everyone will make this a 4th of July treat if ever... More

I have listened to and played many concerts at the Ford Amphitheater. From the stage or from the audience, the atmosphere here is idyllic. It also has a wonderful lawn behind the enclosed seating that many prefer on a warm summer evening.

We visite Vail at end of fall and we took in the amphitheater but there were no events. Great setting understand the favourable summer reviews and can only imagine the vibes. Just east of Vail township. Well located and set it. Again it is a spectacular natural vista.

Jeremy Camp Concert--please come back for 2016! Great venue. Seats are comfortable and room to get through to your seat instead of climbing over the people! Nice restroom facilities, concessions stand food was better than average for those type of things. Or, better yet can bring your own food in to enjoy. The outdoor concert space is truly wonderful!

Buy the lawn seating, take a picnic and a blanket and expect to be blown away. The beauty of the combination of music and nature's setting is awesome. Highly recommended.

Whether you are attending a symphony or ballet, the Gerald Ford Ampitheater offers a surreal experience unlike any other Ampitheater because of the beautiful surroundings. Catching the sun set behind the enormous mountains and the colorful flowers that encompass the theater add to the beauty of all the performances! If you want to lessen the cost of the performance you... More

We were fortunate enough to be in Vail the same week as the NY Philharmonic. The Gerald Ford Amphitheater was a great outdoor, yet intimate location. Pack some food (no open containers through security) or buy it there, take a blanket or low riding chair, if you chose lawn seating. If on the lawn, sunglasses and sun shade (hat or... More

Attended a Tuesday night free concert. The venue is amazing. Seating in chairs under roof and open air seating in grass.

We caught the Urban Dance Competition which was Free (yeah!). The lawn is pretty steep so viewing is great from every spot. Bring a blanket if you don't have seats. You can buy bottles of wine at the food stand vs just buying a glass. Nice option.

We attended a Shakespeare Music event featuring the Philadelphia Orchestra on a recent Friday evening. It was magnificent. It is an outdoor venue, but covered. We sat in the reserved seats (beginning at $44pp), but there is an uncovered grassy section also (not sure if there is a charge for that). With the Aspen and the Mountains surrounding us, the...
