close to where we stayed and easy to moderate trail - the weather was great and the trail was marked well and the views of the area were outstanding.

The Aspen trees are still somewhat at peak. The snow that came last weekend added to the scenary. The trail is very well marked. It does have some fairly steep grades but is nothing that an intermediate to advanced hiker should have a problem with. The trail does cross two small streams, so hiking poles are great for stability. Saw... More

Start of trail a bit intimidating as steep but worth the effort. Upper portion flattens out and follows picturesque stream. Awesome!!

My wife and I are in our mid-50s but in pretty good shape. I think that is important to note because this hike has some challenge to it especially if you decide to go all the way to Booth Lake. It is located in a beautiful part of the Vail Valley and with the aspen trees soon peaking, go now!... More

It is a bit of a trek up 2 miles climbing 1,500 feet but well worth it. Booth falls are gorgeous and the view from the top is amazing.

Just to provide some background, i run 3-4x a week (not far or fast) and was visiting CO. The hike was really beautiful - we did the 2 miles to the waterfall (2 miles each way). The hike out is mostly uphill - hard for people not used to altitude. Nothing too technically challenging - just hills. Once at the... More

There are many tough and steep trails in the Vail Valley, so you have to be careful when you see the term "intermediate". This is often applied by locals and people who either hike for a living, or hike very frequently. I have been burned several times on hikes labeled as intermediate, which turned out to be thigh and lung... More

When I "finally" got to the falls, it was well worth the effort. The trail is famous, therefore busy with lots of friendly people. At my level of expertise, I considered it strenuous not moderate as it is advertised. Another free activity in Vail.

I've done this trail a couple times but I've unfortunately never made it to the lake! But I do love the serenity of this trail with all this little side trails running to the river and to beautiful views of the ridge! I always feel so far away from the troubles and stresses of work and life! Recommend a wind... More

I hiked to the falls and back in about 2.5-3 hours including stops for pictures. It was a little steep at times but nothing impossible, as long as you are in decent shape. Amazing views!
