Because our timeshare was 3.3 miles from the main village, we had a lot of time to walk the path between them, mostly along the Eagle River. Path is shared with bikers, not all of whom let you know they're about to whoosh by you.

Traveling to Vail in October will help avoid big crowds. Some restaurants were closed for a few weeks but there were plenty of other selections.

This was a great path along a creek, joining the various centers of Vail. Only problem was the racing hearts caused by the high altitude! Combined walking/biking, so beware.

I enjoy the walk on this path. It goes along the Gore Creek and is very pretty. We stayed at Cascade Village and were able to walk to Lionshead and Vail Village. Just be careful of the bike riders.... some of them are going way too fast.

nice and gentle paved trail along aspen flanked stream, great for walks, runs, and bikes. Passes thru Vail and continues east for lengthy rides

We were there over Labor Day -- this path was quite busy but we were still able to ride our bikes along the path for hours. Breathtaking views :)

Stroll from the Golf Course all the way to Lionshead along the creek. Inhale the scent of pine and mountain air. This is a leisure activity - if you wish to bike, rollerblade, run or otherwise work out, choose another path unless you are highly proficient at people slalom..........

This is a hidden gem that more visitors to Vail should explore. I have biked the trail and walked it end-to-end. The east part of the path is more scenic than the west end, although the east section can be quite hilly. Make sure you can navigate the gears on your bike before you tackle it. The path leading to... More

First time bike riding in like 20 years, and aside from the uphill climb getting to the bridge to town, it was very convenient and well kept.
