I rented a road bike from Charter Sports and my wife brought me to the top of Vail pass ( elev. 10,600). You can access the bike path at Black Lakes rest stop approx. a mile down (West) a frontage road from the main rest stop at Vail Pass. It's then a gleeful 15 miles (approx.) downhill to Vail, depending... More

Since we are not the serious competitive biker types, we took a van up and were dropped off at the rest area at the top of Vail Pass. Then we cruised down to Frisco with a stop in Copper Mountain for lunch. We couldn't have asked for better weather! Best fun we've had in a long time!

We biked, walked, ran and strolled. I felt comfortable going alone as well. Loved the roaring creek alongside. Takes you through Vail as well as out. Fairly level and always beautiful scenery.

We typically stay in West Vail and use this path instead of driving anywhere in Vail. The path runs along the river and is relatively flat, which is great for anyone not used to this elevation. We have never encountered crazy cyclists and even with young kids, we can stroll along this path without worrying about bikes speeding past us.... More

We walked along this path both toward the East and the West. It was well kept and very pleasant! Being bird-watchers, we kept our eyes open for interesting birds and were pleased to discover a family of three fledgling American Dippers, just learning how to negotiate the water. Fun! During our three-day stay in Vail, we left our car in... More

Great option for a run or walk. I started my run near the covered bridge and went west for 3 or 4 miles. Path was mostly alongside Gore Creek and was lightly traveled. Path does go slightly downhill the further west you go, so count on the trip back east taking a bit longer.

This was an excellent option for an easy walk or bike in Vail. Path follows generally the Gore Creek. It passes to the golf course. We started in East Vail up to the village center. My kids loved it!

Nice way to walk along Gore creek and through the side of the resort. We relaxed in couple areas. Local people were nice and helpful with information.

The sun was shining, the brook babbling and birds chirping. I didn't feel the altitude one bit as I took an invigorating jog every morning of my trip. I even took a break and sat next to the water soaking in the best of what nature has to offer.
