First of all the weather was fantastic! Bright blue skies and warm, sweater weather (well almost) at Ptarmigan Pass in the middle of January, on a day like this it is hard for anything to go wrong and nothing did! My pick up in Vail was right on time and my guide, Dillon, was knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to... More

This tour was amazing and well worth the money. The guided snow mobile tour was the highlight of our trip. The tour takes you all over the place and the guide gives you certain times when you can open the snow mobiles up. I would definitely recommend the guided tour!

My girlfriend and I did a dual rider 2 hour snowmobile trip. We didn't go faster than 30mph, but you didn't have to. The scenery itself gave you enough of a thrill to completely enjoy this experience. The guides were very knowledgeable about the area and they take breaks in between rides to show you some cool things. Highly recommended!... More

We went on the 1/2 day + lunch Top of the Rockies snowmobiling tour. Our guide was Bob and he was great!!! We covered over 50 miles on snowmobile and saw some sights that we could have never seen any other way. They provided lunch after the ride at the lodge and it was excellent. Would highly recommend this tour... More

Best place to rent a snowmobile in the Vail/Avon area. Brand new machines and a vet short drive from our location in Avon. Location is right on the trail.

Thank you for your review! Nova Guides is the best place to snowmobile in the area. We have over 100 miles of groomed terrain, endless free ride meadows, and the highest elevation commercial trail system in the central Rockies. Thanks for noting that the drive is quick and easy from Avon, snowmobiles leave directly from our lodge that sits right... More

We booked Nova Guides for a snowmobile ride with our family. It was our daughters' first time on a snowmobile. We did the 2 1/2 hour tour through Tigiwon. There was a stop for hot chocolate and cookies about half way. The kids just loved it. Our guide, Bob was very knowledgeable. I would high recommend. Everyone there was extremely... More

Thanks for the review! The Tigiwon tour is great for first time riders and families. Two hours on a snowmobile for your first time is the perfect amount of time and seems to be the best fit for children too. Of course the hot coco and cookies are great too! I'm thankful you had a positive experience and received a... More

My husband & I rented & rode together on one snowmobile from Nova Guides and had a fun, smooth experience. We happened to catch a day right after the busy season, thus there were very few riders out when we were. After helpful instruction from one of the guides, we rode unguided in the area along suggested routes. The trails... More

Thank you for reviewing your unguided rental experience! We typically recommend that beginners join us on a guided tour however, it is great to hear that you found an unguided rental as a beginner very manageable. I appreciate that you mentioned that our trail system is accommodating and that our snowmobiles are up to date. I hope you and your... More

My husband and I visited Avon, CO the 2nd week of December 2014. It was my first time in this beautiful state...and my expectations were a little low considering neither of us ski. I was wonderfully mistaken! There is sooo much more to do. We were blessed with a beautiful snowfall our first night there, and it was great to... More

There is so much more to do than just ski in the Vail Valley! I am so happy that you and your husband tried a guided snowmobile tour with Nova Guides. Snowmobiling is a perfect alternative for someone that does not ski or just needs a day off the slopes. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.... More

If you have kids do not go to this place. They simply don't care once you have paid. Our instructor seemed to be in a pretty bad mood and was rushing us while putting on the equipment and hand warmers, and never gave us clear instructions on anything!!!! They day we went was pretty cold, and knowing that ,they did... More

Nova Guides has been a family destination for over 30 years. I apologize that you felt the proper attention was not shown to your family and children.
