Vail Resorts promotes its signature ski resort as being "Like no place on Earth." It's the only marketing slogan I've ever heard that's exactly true. The mountain is huge and you can ski all day without even seeing the whole mountain. If you're new to the mountain, ask a local. There's always places to ski where the snow is good... More

Few words can describe this place. It is immense, thrilling, and challenging. Coming from socal riding, Vail now has my heart and I am ruined forever. Skiers and boarders alike can enjoy all that Vail has to offer. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the map was easily navigated (back bowls included). My favorite run was East Poppyfield, hands... More

Groomers, moguls, trees or wide open - Vail has it all - something for every skier no matter your skill level. Great restaurants on mountain, fast lifts, and the views are amazing.

Vail Mountain is great. Good runs for experts and beginners. Gondola and ski lifts super fast and safe. The view going up the mountain are breathtaking. Gondola 1 is also fast gets u up in no time. :)

So what is there to do if you don't ski? Plenty for 1 day. Walk around and shop until 3:30 and then ride the FREE gondola up the mountain for the best part of your day. Afterwards, stop in the ski museum FREE and learn about the WW soldiers that trained here for ski combat---very interesting.

I've skied a few mountains out West but Vail is by far the best. So much terrain, great panoramas and beautiful weather (more often than not). We only skied a day but tried to hit as many peaks and trails as possible... we barely made a dent! I highly recommend Blue Sky Basin. We will definitely be back in the... More

I lucked out in the second weekend of April and found superb ski conditions, blue skies and no lines. The back-bowls were a bit sparse in areas so I decided to concentrate on other areas and Northwoods the majority of each day. I did miss outdoor music and BBQ's on the mountainside, but I traded it for more opportunity to... More

Vail always fun even in spring snow. The efforts to keep the runs open is amazing. The food in the mountain restaurants is pricey and often cold ( some tummy bugs definitely do happen). But overall it is a great ski experience.

Infrastructure in Vail is out of this world. Everything is so neatly maintain, and organised that you never feel the crowd. There are incredible restaurants everywhere, lounges, and bars. People in Vail is extremely attentive, they really enjoy what they do.

Vail has something for everyone except if you are looking for extreme steep skiing. Still there are plenty of great runs for every level of skier at Vail. The town has some great restaurants and stores all of course at Vail prices. There are bargins if you plan ahead and are flexible as to where you stay. The further away... More
