My husband and I brought our teenage son to Vail for his birthday. We spent the weekend on Vail Mountain hiking, bilking and enjoyed Adventure Ridge at the top of the Eagle Bahn gondola. Adventure Ridge is a summertime mountaintop "park". We enjoyed sledding and my son did the ropes course and the zip line. Of course, this mountain is... More

Vail Mountain is massive when you are comparing it to other US ski resorts. Over 38 chairs with 7 back bowls and many day lodges sprinkled over the several ridge tops. Vail Mountain offers a bit of everything for skiers and riders. Fantastic fast chairs...great village with lots of restaurants and hotels. Vail Mountain is truly a destination ski resort.

I love to ski vail mountain because it has the most beautiful views from the top! Vail mountain also has wonderful challenging greens and blues! I can't wait to see it in the summer!

The fun starts with the gondola ride up. Our grandchildren spotted a fox and a beaver in addition to the antics of all the bike riders on their way down. Recommend purchasing the meal voucher with the gondola ticket. It cost $8 for $15 in credit at the mountain top grill. Our granchildren are 5,7,9, and 11 and there's activities... More

The mountain is great in the summer, they have great trails for biking and hiking. The adventure park is also very good with lots of options to have a great time. Also a lot of activities for families with children.

We enjoyed hiking around the mountain it is very scenic and there are a lot of activities and happenings, It is expensive though. $30.00 per person for a short ride and for us, just to walk around. The city should provide some discount to visitors to the area as they are patronizing the resorts and local retailers. Overall though we... More

Been to Vail 5 times, I love this mountain, If I had the money for one ski place this would be the place. I hope in the future, I can afford to purchase at the least a 1 bedroom condo, so I can come and go as I please. I love Vail!

We came for the hiking and biking, but the thing that surprised me the most were the flowers in the Villages! We went in mid-july and the blooms were amazing. Every place we walked in Vail Village and Lionshead Village was bursting with color. Also plentiful were the hummingbirds that buzzed around in mass. So if you are planning a... More

Visiting Denver from Maryland and had a great trip until we hit Vail mountain. Gondola ride is $30 per person and half the restaurants and trails on the top are closed for the entire summer. But it gets better, there was a thunderstorm and they closed the gondola for 90 minutes, stranding us "for our safety". What a joke.
