Vail is so beautiful and perfect! I have been in so many mountain resort areas, and nothing compares to this beautiful village. Best slopes, shops, atmosphere, restaurants.

Hiked the Berry Picker trail up from Lionshead: a quick 2200 feet in elevation gain over about 3.5 miles! Worth the gasping breath for the fantastic views, though. What a wonderful trail! The top of the mountain was busy, but fantastic views of Holy Cross behind you. And, if you hike up, you get a free ride down on the... More

We took the gondola up from Lionshead and walked/hiked the ski trails. The wedding area is a must see for the view. We took the mid-Vail gondola back down. We bought the gondola/lunch combination - good value. The lunch was good and sitting out admiring the views well worth it.

We had a horrible experience with Vail mtn bike camp. Mia the co owner is unprofessional, insensitive, and rude. It is not for beginners. My daughter broke 2 bones in her arm and after being yelled at to keep going she pushed herself to avoid being yelled at and then told she did not break her arm. I have yet... More

The hike was great for kids and very scenic. We loved the gondola ride!! Vail village is very cute. The gondola lifts off from there.

We had a great time hiking, zip lining, and completing the ropes challenge. It is expensive, of course, but the service, convenience, and cleanliness are unsurpassed.

OK, so I am bit late on my review :-( Having skied a number of European and American resorts, we keep coming back to Vail. The powder this year was incredible. On busy day, the long lines can always be left behind. The mountain is so large that even on the busiest days, there are wonderfully wide and open vistas... More

Be sure to take the gondola up, but skip the overpriced lunch at the top! Eagle's Loop is a super short (15 minute) hike worth it for the photos. Fireweed is a nice, easy hike through the woods. If you take Berrypicker you can make it longer. Great Mountain biking and there is a disc golf course at the top... More

One of my favorite things we did. Took Berry Picker trail all the way up the mountain, then cut over to Lionshead area to ride the gondola back down after a afternoon at Adventure Ridge. Great time! Cannot wait to go back and hike some of the other trails.

Did Vail in June and it was beautiful! We're from the East Coast and the air & sun here were gorgeous, no humidity! Lots of great activities in the village during the day, with a wonderful farmer's market on Sunday with fantastic local foods. Summer is likely the low season, and many of the restaurants offer great deals for dinner.... More
