The mountain is great and can keep you occupied for days. It is a great value if you have the EPIC pass. I can't give it an excellent rating, because it is lacking in convenience. Parking is difficult, expensive, and far away. Lodging anywhere near the resort is outrageously expensive. Going out in Vail at the end of the day... More

I have been skiing for 23 years and have never come across a mountain that even compares to Vail. Anyone who writes a bad review about skiing here must have tried doing so in August. The sheer size of Vail alone would earn it 5 stars, but luckily, its conditions, fast lifts, great grooming, eclectic terrain, and top-notch staff solidify... More

We loved Vail and plan to go back. Lots of great restaurants and activities. The mountain is expansive, after a week there we still had more to explore.

Love the back bowls in fresh snow and the groomers first thing in the day.. still getting used to tipping ( but that a cultural thing !) not much to dislike ..

Vail is a European style ski resort, it is one of the biggest resorts in Colorado, if not the biggest. It is my favorite place to ski and my family goes yearly. Iv’e been to places such as, Keystone, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Copper mountain and this beats out all of them. They have many relaxing lodges on the mountain... More

Came to vail which was our first west cost ski trip (we have skied Switzerland and East coast vermont). The first day was OK conditions but the second day was amazing. ALSO the slopes are so large and there are so many trails I never felt like it was crowded. I love Vail village it was a great vibe with... More

Spent a day here in Jan 2015. I was amazed at how large the place is. They advertise 5200 acres, but that can't be right. It actually looks like 10,000 acres. If every area is open, you couldn't ski it all in a month! I spent most of my time in the back bowls. Not too steep, but enough pitch... More

Once you ski here, no other North American resort will pacify your desire to ski. Anything you could ever desire on skis and more. Daily lift tickets are a bit pricy, but the season passes average out to make this mountain cheaper than others, and far better.
