This is a must do if you are physically able! By physically able I mean my 8 year old could do it! Our family had a great time and we had a fabulous guide--big Dave! Expensive, but worth it!

We love Vail mountain!!! It offers a ton of activities, if you are an avid biker, it has lots of trails you can bike on, up mountain or downhill, if you are a hiker then you have beautiful trails you can hike in, if you have kids then Adventure Rigde offers lots of entertainment! We love it!!

Had the chance to ride with some friends in Aspen / Vail this past weekend. I can't say enough about Vail's Mountain Biking Terrain. Trails for all levels. You can do a full day w/ full suspension bike rental for $73. Take the Gondola up from Vail Village (because that is both where you can rent bike and also where... More

This mountain is awesome - there was plenty of activity for all ages and skill levels. The new adventure park at the top of the Ridge was great and a unique experience. We got multi-day passes with bike lift which provided lots of options for enjoyment including bike runs, hiking, dining, and rock climbing. We were in Vail 4 days... More

We took Gondola One up the mountain and then walked the rest of the way to the top. We spent several hours up there walking the various trails until eventually heading back down on the Eagle Bahn gondola as a storm was starting to move in. The $28 per person gondola fee initially seems expensive however there are many helpful... More

If you have a chance to take the Gondola from Lionshead to the top of Vail Mountain, I highly recommend it. We purchase the ticket with a lunch voucher so we don't have to pack a lunch. The BBQ cafe at the top is excellent. Kids under 3 are free to ride. They have really expanded their adventures at the... More

I've been skiing ever since I moved out to Colorado. There are a lot of mountains in this state, and a good number can be visited from Denver. Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Copper, and Eldora are all great mountains, but it's hard to beat Vail Mountain. There's such a great variability in ski runs, and it's a great mountain from... We decided to take the Gondola up one side and hike to the other. What a gorgeous day it was mesmerizing. We made walking sticks for ourselves and donated them in the end. It's popular to use them or ski poles while hiking. They have a lot of activities at the top (zip line, kids activities, etc.) Make sure you... More

Rode the gondola up and hiked the rest of the way up to the top. Hiked back to the gondola mid-mountain point and enjoyed a great chicken cesear salad out on the deck of the mid-mountain grill! Gorgeous views that will make you break out in singing songs from the Sound of Music! Then we hiked back down to the... More
