I was looking for a whitewater adventure and my hotel recommended Lakota. I have to say I couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was top notch, very friendly and overly accommodating. The rafting was a ton of fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our river guide was Leah and she was terrific. Great energy, very... More

We went out with Tanner who was a great guide and we would highly recommend him. We went down the Arkansas River - Browns Canyon. Level 2/3 rapids and it was a blast! A first time for our family of 5 - me, my wife and 3 boys aged 17-20. As long as you are willing to paddle a bit,... More

Had a great time navigating the rapids and hearing the local stories and legends of the river. Our guide Leah was great fun and we all learned a lot. Would recommend this activity to anyone looking for fun and a little (safe) adventure.

We have used Lakota many times over our 15 years vacationing in the Vail area. We have taken different levels of rafting trips as our children have grown and always been pleased. The guides are always very well trained and extremely skilled. The most recent trip was to Brown's Canyon. The views are magnificent. The trip was fun and exciting.... More

Lakota River Guides has a great program for groups and families! Having been on a number of white water raft trips over the years I was expecting a fun time on the water but average everything else. The equipment here was quality, the bus was air conditioned and quality, and the lunch on the water was picnic style and filling.... More

We purchased the two-hour horseback riding experience through Lakota Guides. This was our first vacation in Colorado with our two teenage sons, and we had a great time. Our boys especially loved the horseback ride. Bair Ranch is beautiful and our guide, Stephanie, took great care of us. She was very encouraging and patient with all of us, although we... More

I booked a Glenwood Canyon raft trip for my husband and my anniversary. We had to change our trip due to weather. The staff were great and we had no problem changing our booking. Then when we arrived, without breakfast, they directed us to an amazing cafe to get a bite before the trip. We were given equipment, and they... More

We did the Shoshone white water rafting and the 2-hour horseback riding the next day. Our kids are 7 and 9 and we all had a blast! For moms that worry a lot, the shoshone has the strongest (class 3) rapids at the beginning of the float and the water was higher than expected that am so they raised the... More

We booked a half day category 3-4 trip on the Numbers section of the Arkansas River. We got called late the day before saying that Lakota only booked my wife and me. Without more bookings the outfitter would not be able to go on the trip we signed up for. We were told there was an all day trip starting... More
