I used to think Beaver Creek did not have the best terrain for those riding instead of skiing!

I used to think that the Beaver Creek resort was more for skiers and not so much for those riding or looking to off piste. Then I spoke with some friends from Breck that set me straight. These were Breck locals and they loved BC, so I took their advice and low and behold, they were right. If you find... More

Small crowds, great terrain and free parking. I love the fact that unlike Vail, Beaver Creek offers free parking, with a bus bringing you within a few steps of the lifts. In Vail they charge you over $20 and you still have to hike 1/2 mile to the lifts. My favorite run is the Birds of Prey. It can get... More

Great resort. One of the hidden gems of Colorado. Once you get over the bus ride from the parking lots as a day skier it is amazing. Or, if you stay at the resort, well even better. Great variety of terrain, and surprising steeps if you are game.

Vail Mountain is huge and suits skiers of all abilities (can get very bust holidays and weekends). BeaverCreek is more family friendly, a bit quieter but beautiful. Both are outstanding.

Heard that Vail good tons of snow in march and april. Unfortunately, it was Spring skiing at its finest. Although enjoyed the abundant sunshine, it would have been nice to have some cooler days making some fresh tracks on all those acres of terrain. That being said, the resort is world class. The villages really tie the mountain(s) together with... More

We went to Beavercreek for our second year in a row. The mountain was perfect for my daughter who is a beginning skier. There are many greens to choose from. There are also plenty of expert runs for when we got a little braver. The mountain was relatively free from crowds.

Awesome spring skiing. Good lessons. Buy tickets online with an Epic pass to save money. Three pack of ski lessons save a bunch too. Incredible vistas. Food overpriced on the mountain, more reasonable I. The village. Make a reservation to go tubing. Worth the $40 fee.

We have just returned from a two-week ski vacation to Colorado. We return every year to the area as we have fallen in love with the skiing, the scenery, the friendly locals and the value for money - yes, that last one is correct, value for money. We live in the UK and arrange our own package on-line. We normally... More

As an 59 year old expert skier who is now overweight and unfit I love Vail/Beaver Creek for the huge number of long intermediate runs that are perfectly groomed every day. I would give it five stars were the lift pass not the most expensive on the planet. Seven hundred bucks for a six day pass? A little excessive I... More
