San Miguel County Courthouse

I have only been there to attend a conversation at the Telluride Film Festival so I cannot elaborate on anything more than sitting in the courtroom and listening to a discussion.

Seems to be your standard old, small town courthouse. As I walked along the street many people were posing for group or selfie photos in front of the courthouse. Some people even blocked traffic to get their shot. Honestly, I don't get it. Yes, it is certainly a neat old courthouse, but aren't they all. I grew up in a... More

Got our marriage license here 20 years ago and come back every year. Fun to see the pride people in Telluride take with their historic buildings.

Wonderful old courthouse and still in use. Sadly, the main courtroom has been chopped up and is not as grand as it would have been when first built. The staff is very friendly. We walked into the main courtroom over the lunch hour. The judge's clerk came out of chambers, greeted us, and spent considerable time telling us about the... More

IF you ever have to have a court date, this is the PLACE--sucks to be here, but the beauty of it is amazing. Before you enter and after you leave, you are surrounded by the beauty of Telluride--in and out of handcuffs. If there was a place to rate the jail, I would do that too.......

I never thought when we went to get our wedding certificate that we would have SO much fun with the staff! The building is beautiful and the pictures inside show Telluride from 100+ years ago. Definitely stop in when you are in town!
