I liked the historical character of the hotel, but the modern conveniences. Our room was large and the king-sized bed comfortable. Our view was great when you looked up at the mountains, but bad when you looked down at overflowing trash bins, broken furniture and restaurant equipment, and snow shovels and ladders tossed up on the neighbor's decrepit roof. Loved... More

Very comfy, good sized room. It's pricey, as others have stated, but this is a very chi-chi kind of location. No parking on site - you get a permit to park in side-streets around the hotel. Interestingly we were supplied with earplugs and a warning that the status of Telluride as a party town could render them useful (not needed... More

A little on the pricey side, but excellent steaks and mussels. Good wine selection too. Service was professional and timely. Well worth a visit.

Everyone should know about the history of this hotel! Learned about it while on Tasting Telluride Tour with Howie and Lois Stern. The general manager was pleasant and informative of the many visitors that have spent time there. The Saloon is a longtime local favorite. The food was delicious. The decor is understated and elegant.

If you are looking for a REALLY good burger and amazing fries..this is the spot. The burger is big enough to split..just FYI. Bloody Mary's are just ok, even though they look good.

Hanging at the bar at the New Sheridan is a lot fun, especially in low season when you get a great glimpse of the locals.

We weren't staying at the hotel but loved the bar (it was a Saturday night) where we sat and soaked up the beer and the atmosphere. Great.

The food was really good but it was pretty expensive. However the bar part has nice drink specials that are good and affordable. Great atmosphere.

My husband and I come back for a "date night" every time we visit this town with our kids for ski during spring break. I love their steaks, crème Brule cream corn and last thing I tried was the sashimi, it was delicious.
