The hike is right in town & the 1st uphill provides great views. You can turn around soon or continue in a large loop that enters the forest & comes out into the sun & again, fantastic views. It can be icy due to sun exposure & popularity.

Great views of the town of Telluride, but not worth the roundtrip. I'd rec. climbing the first part of both ends and get your pics, then try some others for beauty along the way.

Great hike in the San Jaun's. Not a big trail for city golfs unless you are in descent shape. Near town. It is also a great mountain bike trail.

A lovely loop, with views from the highest point, and, near the top of the trail, travel in a canyon that is almost entirely aspen. A beautiful trail, but very steep climb, especially for those coming from lower elevations.

I planned to hike all the way up.....1 1/2 miles. I got about half way and realized these 66 year old legs were not going to make it. However, the views from the ridge are beautiful. telluride is spread out below you. Bring your camera.

This trail can be challenging for those not physically fit or those challenged by altitude. Otherwise a beautiful hike with spectacular views overlooking the town and Bridal Veil Falls.

This hike affords gorgeous, expansive views, and takes you through an enchanting Aspen forest too. The first mile or so is pretty much straight uphill, so be prepared for the elevation gain.

Lovely sunny hike up above Telluride. Wonderful views and a gorgeous little water fall at the end (Cornet Creek Falls). You can start the hike at either end because the access is on prominent main streets.

Nice circuit hike with a variety of views and vistas, as well as an aspen forest and wildflowers. It's a "moderate", not an easy hike because of the altitude and some slope, but it's not steep enough to need hiking poles. Prime time would be when the aspen turn gold, but it's a very nice hike any time, really, and... More

Truly beautiful. Steep at points, but plenty of downhill in spots too. Less steep if started at Cornet Falls bridge area- if started on Imogene/Tomboy road, you'll be going up more, I think. Gorgeous river views, aspen views, mountain views- it's just a constant pleasure. Bring enough water and a camera- and be ready for a fun time!
