Steep uphill going clockwise, no waterfall, but nice view of Telluride canyon from north side. Has an element of danger as trail comes quite close to a bluff drop-off. Otherwise very enjoyable.

A nice 3.5 mile loop above the city of Telluride. There is some steep elevation gain going up and steep drops coming down. It ends on Tom Boy Road which can be busy with dirt bikes and jeeps coming down from the pass.

Loved this trail. It had lots of variety. The initial uphill section is a bit strenuous for those who don't hike a lot or those not used to high altitude. The view at the top is amazing. The walk down is just as lovely.

We enjoyed this trail. It left from town, so it was easy to access. With switchbacks up the side of a mountain, hikers (and the occasional biker) are able to see the town from gradually increasing heights. This is a pleasant hike and not too strenuous. Well worth the effort.

Enjoyed this trail, because of the beautiful views. Being from flat Kansas this trail and a little strenuous for us. The only thing I didn't like about this trail was the the we did the trail there were SO many flies landing on us--that drove me nuts. The bug spray didn't seem to help too much.

My wife and I climbed Jed Wiebe and were not disappointed - we're not experienced hikers! The first half of the hike has some challenging inclines via a number of switchbacks. The trail for the most part is plenty wide though does narrow in some areas. There are many very scenic views en route to the top though the view... More

Three years in Telluride were beautiful . . . but also very hard. We moved there for work (not for play like so many) and I was working a lot. The trailhead for Jud Wiebe was about a four minute walk from our front door so it made it possible for us to get off of work after a long... More

This trail is in walking distance of the town of Telluride. It is a pretty steep climb so be prepared. However, much of the trail is nestled in aspen forests and the view from the top is superb! You have a good view of Bridal Veil Falls in the distance and a panaromic view of the canyon and the town... More

This is not for the mild manner and is a strenuous hike. If you can deal with the fairly steep uphill claim it is very worthwhile and rewarding. The scenery and overall environment is just beautiful.

This hike was challenging - even for Coloradoans used to high elevation and regular exercise. The first hour is all up hill and will get your heart rate up pretty high! Be careful, elevation sickness may be an issue. The view from the "top" of the hike is amazing. The way back down is easy, downhill, and rocky. We took... More
