The gondola gets you in and out of town without having to use a vehicle. It also drops you mid mountain for hiking or a great view.

My first impression of this gondola was that it looked like a shuttle craft from Star Trek. You have to at a brisk pace to get on, but an attendant is available to aid both on boarding and departure. One can even transport a bike on them. The ride is free!

I'm not a skiier. Never have tried it once. As a mater of fact, we visit Colorado once a year but never ever during ski season. I know, I know I'm missing out - But since we live in the MidWest, the month of August is always brutally HOT. So hubby likes to head to Colorado that month to feel... More

The gondola is free and the views are incredible. I am a little fearful of heights but this was so worth it.

If you find yourself going out of your way to Telluride CO be sure to ride the gondola. Gorgeous views and some nice hikes down in the summertime. The city itself is a little like stepping back in time . Some nice restaurants. Shopping is for the art lover or the outdoorsman.

We've traveled to other mountain towns that have gondola's and most charge, especially if you're using them to haul your mountain bike to a bike park. Not this one. I believe it runs 8a until midnight and you can ride it as often as you like. It's not high speed, but the views are spectacular. There is always an attendant... More

You should take a trip up the mountain and look at the view. It doesn't take too long I'd you're short on time, and if you have time take a hike to another town
