A short drive and beautiful

This was a great place to go to from Steamboat. Close and very beautiful. You walk a bit to get to the falls from the road but it is an easy walk, just a little up and down.

Come see the Waterfall used on the "Coors" Beer Can, LIVE and In Color. Close to town. Reasonable parking expense, however limited space may have you trekking just to get to trailhead. Great for the whole family...Easy to Challenging... and you can take a picnic. Information on "Trail Facts" signage is unimpressive (it might have been nice to have foliage... More

An easy hike there and back. $5 per car. You can't beat that. Climb the waterfalls. It's worth it. :)

Just a few miles from Steamboat Springs is Fish Creek Falls. The Falls are located in a park with three different hiking options (Easy, Moderate, Difficult) to explore the park and the very scenic Falls. Set aside a couple hours to enjoy the park and the trails. There is a fee of $5 per car to enjoy the park (regardless... More

To view the falls from the overlook it's a short paved walk from the parking lot. As you enter the park, you will see a parking lot off to the left. Proceed further up the road and you will enter a larger parking lot which is closer to the falls. In my estimation you see the falls better from the... More

For a fee of $5 you can easily walk 5 min to a very photogenic 200+ foot waterfall. Normally we visit in June and the snow melt flow is so strong that it simply appears as white water. However in August the flow is much less and you can see the boulders and cascading falls and also rock hop/picnic in... More

$5 to park and just a 5 min walk to see a beautiful waterfall. Gorgeous quintessential Colorado. Pack a picnic or bring a snack and hang out by the river. Easy path from parking lot--great for families, no hiking boots required. Bigger but do-able hike 5 mi each way to go to a lake if you want something more.

Start by understanding it is a long (uphill) walk but it is worth it! On the bright side the walk back is mostly downhill so you have time to recover :) If you like beautiful mountain views, the chance to see wildlife, wildflowers, and breath fresh air this is the place to go!

As part of a family reunion, we hiked to the falls on Monday. Easy hike . . . even with babies and small children. Worth the hike. Even saw some snakes along the trail.
