I went on a girls trip to Steamboat and we all went here. So I had to take my husband and family. It was way beyond great.

John and Wanda treat all customers with gracious hospitality - the cabins here are among the forest, where you can hike, horseback ride, snow shoe or cross country out your back door. Clean, well run, and the food is exceptional up in Steamboat Lake. They used to run Chart Houses and so the preparation and quality is very consistent. A... More

Last time I checked, the dining room was closed in the winter, and only open in the summer. This is a great place right by Steamboat Lake, and as North Routt (County) as it gets. We take our out of town guests here for the sleigh ride dinners. It's not too expensive, and they get to do something most people don't get the opportunity to try - a night time, horse drawn sleigh ride.

We booked a 1.5 hour ride while on vacation for four adults, two teenagers and one child. In a previous vacation to Steamboat, we rented horses in town near the alpine slide and found that it was not very enjoyable (hot, not enough trees, not scenic enough).
