What a wonderful way to spend the evening with my loving man. Everyone was so energized to share where and what they do. The horses were so well behaved and the ride mysterious. The Yampa Boys entertained us while we ate a scrumptious steak meal. Medium-rare, just right! A must do for couples and family!

The sleigh ride was nice- it was a very pretty night and the horses are beautiful. The family that runs the ranch is really nice and the entertainment was great. The dinner was good- very basic, steak and baked potatoes, followed by a very good brownie. One thing our group wish we had known beforehand is that they don't serve... More

I was so excited to take my 3 kids and husband to this event. It sounded kind of magical and fun. A lovely sleigh ride, nice dinner in a renovated barn, family sing along. But alas ... that's not quite what we got. The family that runs this event is absolutely lovely and I'm sure they are trying their best... More

As part of our Spring Break week, we took our four year olds on a sleigh ride and dinner at this family ranch. The family picked us up in one of two buses from our lodging at Steamboat and drove us and a larger group about 20 minutes outside of town. We all climbed onto two large sleighs holding about... This was a great evening! Two sleighs of about 15-20 people each, crunch through the snow on the way to the ranch house for dinner. Each sleigh is pulled by two 1800lb Percherons...and the slices through the snow with ease on wooden runners. The ranch is family owned (5 generations) and their history and stories come out in the interactions... More

Cowboy poetry. Family owned and operated, the staff is friendly and makes the evening fun for everyone. The horses are 2000 lb Percherons and the sleigh is an authentic benched farm wagon on runners. They provide wool blankets. Hot refreshments are served in the barn which is well heated with pot bellied stove and propane heaters. Modern restroom facility is... More

The best sleigh ride along with a wonderful dinner good company and a very good value. Family-owned business does everything correctly and is so much fun. One could not ask for a better night on a sleigh ride dinner

What a fabulous evening! We had a group of eight... All ages from different areas of the country, with two of us being locals. We wanted to spend a fun filled authentic evening with our friends. We decided a sleigh ride was just the answer. The family and team at the Bar Lazy L Ranch gave our group a fabulous... More

We recently booked the dinner sleigh ride for our Christmas vacation in December 2012. The people were extremely nice that operate the family owned ride. We sat up front and received a lot of information about the ranch and the horses! It was well below zero the night we went but the sky was just beautiful for star gazing! The... More
