As part of our Spring Break week, we took our four year olds on a sleigh ride and dinner at this family ranch. The family picked us up in one of two buses from our lodging at Steamboat and drove us and a larger group about 20 minutes outside of town. We all climbed onto two large sleighs holding about... This was a fantastic memorable experience. From start to finish , it was a nice evening. The owners and staff made everything real nice, very nice people. Sleigh ride was beautiful, interesting and fun! The setting for dinner and entertainment was rustic, homey , and outstanding! All the food was delicious, recommend the Ribeye for sure. Met alot of nice... More

This was a great evening! Two sleighs of about 15-20 people each, crunch through the snow on the way to the ranch house for dinner. Each sleigh is pulled by two 1800lb Percherons...and the slices through the snow with ease on wooden runners. The ranch is family owned (5 generations) and their history and stories come out in the interactions... More

Cowboy poetry. Family owned and operated, the staff is friendly and makes the evening fun for everyone. The horses are 2000 lb Percherons and the sleigh is an authentic benched farm wagon on runners. They provide wool blankets. Hot refreshments are served in the barn which is well heated with pot bellied stove and propane heaters. Modern restroom facility is... More

The best sleigh ride along with a wonderful dinner good company and a very good value. Family-owned business does everything correctly and is so much fun. One could not ask for a better night on a sleigh ride dinner

What a fabulous evening! We had a group of eight... All ages from different areas of the country, with two of us being locals. We wanted to spend a fun filled authentic evening with our friends. We decided a sleigh ride was just the answer. The family and team at the Bar Lazy L Ranch gave our group a fabulous... More

We recently booked the dinner sleigh ride for our Christmas vacation in December 2012. The people were extremely nice that operate the family owned ride. We sat up front and received a lot of information about the ranch and the horses! It was well below zero the night we went but the sky was just beautiful for star gazing! The... More

This was a fun experience. However, it was a bit lackluster. The staff was friendly and the most enjoyable part was listening to the Yampa Valley Boys. Just wished they would have played longer. They don't play during the meal but for a few minutes afterward. The horses are pretty. Wish the guide would have shared a bit more information.... More

My boyfriend and I did the dinner and sleigh ride for 75pp, and had a great time. The sleigh ride was honestly just ok, because we sat in the back and couldn't even see the horses, and it was snowing so it was cold and the sky was not clear. I'm sure if those things were different it would have... More

The night was a total blast. A beautiful night time sleigh ride with 20 people being pulled by two great horses through one of the most gorgeous valleys in northwest colorado. The Yeager family could not be more generous and caring. A laid back family atmosphere. The dinner was truely a home cooked, meat and potatoes, meal being cooked as... More
