Description: Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works is a dog sledding tour business located in...
Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works is a dog sledding tour business located in Steamboat Springs, CO. Family owned and operated by Iditarod Musher, Kris Hoffman and his wife Sara. In business since 1996, we offer both “Learn to Drive” dog sledding tours where we bring you out and teach you how to drive your own team (typically 2 people/sled with one starting as the driver and 1 being the passenger and then switching half way around the trail) or “Guide Driven” tours where we drive the sleds for you and you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful Colorado mountains at the speed of dog. Our 12.5mile backcountry trail is located on a private ranch just west of Steamboat. Our pristine (groomed) trail snakes through Colorado’s mountainous ranch country traversing over ridgelines, through canyons, open meadows, and everything in-between. Views include the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, Sleeping Giant, The Zirkles, The Steamboat Ski Area, the Valley and much more...with the occasional spotting of wildlife!

This was my favorite part of our entire trip to Colorado. Everything about this group of awesome people and pups was perfect. The guides and the dogs were equally in love with their jobs. Getting the chance to ride on the sled, AND drive a team of dogs was amazing! They provide everything you need, and were exceptionally friendly and... More

Had the best time here with Grizzle T. Great guides who were thorough in their briefing and instructions. The dogs were amazing and love getting out on the trail. The tour took us thru some of the most beautiful scenery in Colorado. Cuddle time included at the end of the tour. Pricey but worth every cent!

The trip was the highlight of my winter. Kris, Sara, the guides, and all the dogs were wonderful to meet. They are super professional, dogs are all loved and well cared for and the scenic loop we did gave us a different picture of Steamboat and all that it has to offer. Totally worth the investment and not to be... More

This was one of the coolest things we have done in Steamboat. It was a great day, beautiful scenery and the dogs were so awesome. They just want to run. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We didn't even mind that the temperature barely hit zero that day. You should definitely try Grizzle-T dog sledding.

We returned to Grizzle-T with our kids and grandkids as a break from our ski vacation. This was absolutely the highlight of the trip. As serious dog lovers, we were impressed with the condition of the dogs and the quality of the handlers. This is a very well-run operation to assure that everyone -- dogs included -- has a good... As Dog Sledding is something I have always dreamt of doing I had high expectations & this experience was better than I had hoped. The staff at Grizzle-T were all friendly and obviously passionate about the dogs. Being able to experience both driving the sled and relaxing in the sled was a huge bonus. I would highly recommend Grizzle-T to... More

My husband, 10 year old son and I visited Grizzle-T and did their long route where we got to drive the sleds. It was absolutely an experience none of us will ever forget! Meeting the dogs before our trip made us realize how truly loved and well taken care of they all are. The staff was friendly ad helpful an... More

Our entire family including 5 adults and two teenagers loved our winter dog sledding with Grizzle-T. The trail was wonderful and the length of time driving and riding with our dog team was great. Our teenage grand daughter and grandson Loved interacting with the dogs before and after our trip. I would recommend this sledding company whenever you are in... More

We did this as a group retreat from work. We received a great briefing on how to handle the sled and the dogs and off we went. It was a fun and safe experience. AND you can tell and feel that they take great care of the dogs. Overall a super fun experience since you are not just sitting on... More
