Was fun

We did a two hour trail ride. It was a nice ride. My kids had never ridden a horse before and they did really well, they did get a little restless at the end.

Went on the two-hour group ride with my daughters who are 14 and 10 years old. What an amazing day we had! They views were absolutely gorgeous, the guides were very helpful and engaging, and the horses were perfect for the people in our group as they were mostly beginners. I highly recommend this place. It's a great value for... More

The guides, view, and ride were fantastic. In addition to approximately 50 horses on property that are well trained and regularly ridden, the guides were extremely familiar with the property, the animals, the ranch's operations and were able to answer any questions that the very curious kids had on our tour. The tour itself was a great balance of relaxation... More

I have mixed thoughts about our experience. (This was my third time on a commercial ride and I am an intermediate rider.) The scenery was stunning. It totally made the experience. I was a little uncomfortable with our guides for our group of 12. One - the college student - was friendly and personable. The other must have been the... More

We have been horseback riding a few times in Steamboat but this was the first time at Saddleback. A very professionally run ranch. Everyone was friendly, the horses were healthy, well groomed, trained for beginner riders and children. Two hour trail ride had beautiful scenery and guides were friendly and helpful. They even stopped and took photos of families on... More

Great family owned ranch with a wonderful two-hour trail ride. It was so nice to be out in the open! Horses for all riding abilities. Would definitely recommend and would do again if I returned to steamboat!

The staff were had lots of patience with everyone to enjoy we had a fun time at the ranch. We were introduced to our horse and had a few safety tips. Our two hour ride was extended a... More

I took my twin 9 year old daughters and their 9 yr old friend on the two hour trail ride! This is not your average trail ride where the horses follow each other single file on a trail. My daughters have taken riding lessons, but their friend had not. This trail ride was great for all of us. The horses... More

We booked a dinner with Saddleback Ranch and from the lady who booked our reservations to Mac and Z our guides, to the family who served us dinner, everything was awesome and just amazing. We arrived and were greeted with smiling, friendly faces. We all got assigned horses and then took off on a beautiful trail ride that ended at... More

We choose Saddleback Ranch due to proximity to Steamboat as well as some reviews we read in a magazine. We were VERY happy with the experience and will go back to Saddleback for other occasions on our next visit. While the horses were well trained and could stay on a trail, the guide took us off trail through the beautiful... More
