We camped in the bay loop (a very new part of the campground) with our daughter, her husband and three very young children for a week. This a a very kid friendly campground with a nice playground, beaches, places to ride bikes, and hike. We were surprised that the mosquito population was gone by mid September but the flies were... We had two families vacationing in Steamboat and decided to rent a pontoon one day. Scheduled four hours and ended up extending it. It was a little pricey but worth it. The boat was in really nice, in good shape and clean and had a grill. The staff was very friendly, helped us load all our stuff, and give us... More

A few miles out of Steamboat Springs. A very relaxing pontoon boat on Steamboat lake. Very accommodating people and a relaxing afternoon.

Were vacationing in Steamboat and on the advice of a friend decided to rent a pontoon boat for a couple of hours. They even had one with a gas grill. A two hour rental was a couple of hundred dollars but it was very relaxing just cruising around the lake. And a couple of hours is a perfect amount of... More

the scenery was gorgeous, it was nice to escape and just fall asleep to the sounds of the wild. It is really close to Steamboat CO, and there are some great shops close by in case you forgot any supplies. Go to Clarks the people there are helpful and funny.

I was really disappointed with the camping in the Wheeler Loop. This is the second year we camped there in July and there were groups of loud people with lots of screaming both times. There was a big party tent set up somewhere on the property, and we could here a DJ and a loud speaker announcer until at least... More

I'm so sorry that you didn't enjoy your camping experience in the Wheeler Loop. I agree that July is our busiest month and our campgrounds are usually full of many people. It can be noisy at times with everyone trying to enjoy their vacation in their own way. Our ranger staff does try to make sure that we patrol and... More

We took the drive to Steamboat Lake not knowing what to expect. The drive was gorgeous and setting for the Lake was beautiful. Lots of camping in the area. Next time we would allow 1/2 day to rent a boat and venture out on the lake for a couple of hours. Just Beautiful!

This park is worth the 45 minute drive from Steamboat. The drive is beautifful with meadows of Mules Ears flowers in the summer. They are boat rentals, camp sites and cabins but the best part is the home fudge that is available at the Marina. That alone is worth the drive.
