We were staying at Steamboat Springs and drove up to visit the mountain, lots of people biking, hiking, enjoying the gorgeous views. If in the area, well worth the trip.

I was happy my wife talked me into going up on the gondola, it was AMAZING long! Beautiful Views in a great ride to the top of a fantastic mountain! You can eat a very nice meal at the top or just grab a snack at the snack bar. Lots of seating and short and long hikes! If we had... More

Bring a volleyball, tennis equipment, picnic. Great park. So sad slides are closed down this year; had actually planned on spending $$$ lots!....with grandkids here with us this season.

Sunday evening we took the gondola to the top for their Sunset Happy Hour. Food and drink prices were reasonable. We had the pleasure of listening to Wise 100 Doors. He is from Fuji and he had been playing and singing non-stop for 3 hours and still going strong when we left.

July 2015, the sunset discount is on Thursday night. A $12 ticket will get you a gondola ride to the top, and a $5 discount on food/drink. We arrived at Gondola Square around 5pm, and there was a semi-long line to board the gondola. Tip: buy your tickets in advance if possible and save some time. It didn't take long... More

Loved Colorado's skiing, had a few days of powder. The long runs and multiple choices were fantastic. Going back for sure! New favorite downhill skiing locale.

While biking we have observed many weddings at this beautiful venue. The downhil trails are challenging and envigorating and the dog and pony show entertaining.

Being out of season, I had to hike up and down the hill and nothing was open at the top. The Thunderhead trail is rather dull for the first half, but significantly improves thereafter. Being out of season, it was rather difficult to work out which paths were open and available to hikers and I'm fairly certain I picked the... More

Take the gondola up to the top and hike the short trail. Scenic views and not difficult. Spend a little time meandering. On a Wed we went for the sunset happy hour. Discounted price (less than $20) includes the gondola and a happy hour drink. Surprisingly, the HH drink was generous (wine and beer) and an additional was moderately priced.... More
