I went here on my first ski trip to the mountains when I was a sophomore in college (2002). That being said, my memories may not be 100% accurate because of how long ago it was and because I spent a good portion of the trip drunk, high, or both. We had huge powder days every day that we were... More

Steamboat is perfect skiing / boarding in N America! Champagne powder nearly every day. it's a classic N American resort, so doesn't have the charm of Europe, but the snow is far better, so I'll accept that. And since they play rock music in the bars and cafes, rather than Euro-pop, it's a definite winner...

Add gobs of ski runs for all levels; what more could you ask for . . . more powder days I suppose . . . if you're a glutton for pleasure . . .

This was a very long ride and on Thursday night they give special deals. Live music, happy hour and beverages.

We had a great time! Road the Gondola to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset. Received a free drink or food with admission. There was music and dancing. It was an enjoyable evening.

Steambaot Springs is an easy destination for us as there are many direct flights from Houston to Hayden. It is a HUGE plus to avoid the flights into Denver plus the hours of hit or miss winter driving through the mountain passes. Although Steamboat needs to reel in their prices a bit for families if they wish to stay one... More

We had a blast this summer hiking, tubing along the yampa river & my young daughter had a blast for a day in the kids camp! They took them up the gondola, did nature hike, and learned about the plants & flowers. So much to do: fish, bike, or ride to the top for brunch or dinner

We come in the winter to ski and now we will be back every summer just to hang out. There are enough places that are open in August to make it worthwhile to stay at the mountain base. We will be back.

Possibly my most favorite ski resort! The snow really is special, it just sparkles. Lot's of terrain for those of different skill levels. I love riding the gondola. My husband preposed to me at the base of Steamboat so it will always have special place in my heart. I still haven't tried the night skiing, but I am sure it... More

After 10 years of skiing- first time to see it without snow! Absolutely gorgeous! Want to live there forever! Forget the snow!
