Steamboat is a family locale. The bunny hill is easy and accessible. The gondolas make the mountain easy to ski. The French restaurant at the top is excellent.

This is our favorite resort. Best kids ski school in terms of instruction & our kids enjoyment. The runs are long and varied, wildlife on the trails and not so cold as some places without sacrificing pow.

Steamboat offers a great ski experience for all ages. We started visiting about 8 years ago. Back the. My kids loved the ski school. Now days they are beating me down the hill. The ski area offers plenty of trails for all skill levels.

Steamboat is a terrific place to ski and has an amazing ski school. Comparing it to Breckenridge (my only other CO experience), the mountain is much smaller and lacks some of the difficult terrain; however, the mountain is extremely diverse, has a great lift system and if you like tree-skiing, it is second to none. The ski school houses some... More

We visited in February 2015 and skied the resort for 3 days. We didn't look for bargain tickets or discounts and these were the most expensive lift tickets I've ever purchased. The gondola to the midstation moves people very quickly, and the attendants at the gondola (and all of the rest of the lifts) were efficient, cheerful, and friendly. Service... More

Love this ski resort. This was my 4th trip to this resort from California. Definitely worth driving or flying to as I have done both. The Steamboat area including the town of Steamboat Springs has a great bus system. Just hop on or off at the ski resort or in town. If your lodging is close to the bus route... More

ride the ski lift to the top, price 12 dollars, then get a free glass of wine and enjoy the sunset and free music.
