Friendly working Western.town...with a fabulous Ski Mt. Steamboat is known for the many Olympians that trained there & / or are from the Steamboat area.. It was home to the U.S Ski Team through the 1990's. possibly 2000, when they moved to Park City, UT. I understand people come for the Winter & stay for the Summer. I have to... More

Steamboat Resort is the best family resort in Colorado. It offers great corduroy skiing with champagne powder days when you least expect them. Great dining located in the village. The country western flare that is portrayed through-out the resort and on the mountain makes you feel like you are on vacation. Super friendly staff and great amenities near by make... More

Only have been to one other resort and that was in high school, so it's hard to compare, but we love Steamboat Mountain! Lots of trails and you can't beat the snow. Our favorite area is "Wallyworld," a family friendly area of easy blues off of Sunshine Peak. We race on one of those runs, Tomahawk at least once a... More

We love Steamboat!! Best Ski School and Skiing. We love Sheraton Ski In/Out and Ski & Bike Care for the amazing customer service & rentals. We also love the mountain because other than an occasional line at the gondala, the mountain is never crowded & there is varied terrain for all levels of skiers(: amazing food options too ... At... We were here for 4th of July and had a great family time with lots to do in the village for kids. Lots of kids and familes playing in the creek running through too. Gondola and biking, lots of shopping and food.

Nice resort, little off the beaten path. Skiing in the aspens is like Heaven on Earth. I would also like to visit in summer...

What beautiful place anytime of year. I was with girlfriends and four 17 yr olds, ( won't tell our ages :) The boys wanted to mountain bike down the mountain and had never mountain biked before. The place we went to rent bikes and pads and helmets, were very helpful and gave a brief intro to biking. We all rode... More

Ski resorts are trying to leverage their infrastructure and turn themselves into year round destinations. Steamboat Springs is taking a very "MBA" led approach to this effort; putting penny pinching over guests experience. While the downhill bike park looked fun, everything else looked like it could use a patch, or a coat of paint. The signs leading you to the... More
