Combined with obscene amounts of fresh snow, skiing in the aspens and evergreens off of the Sundown and Storm King lifts provides an expert skiing experience unlike any other in Colorado. The non-treed expert runs provide great, long bump runs that'll keep those thighs burning. There are, of course, plenty of less difficult options as well but I'll let others... More

Was there late January with my husband. It was our 4th visit and the snow was fantastic as was mountain atmosphere, bars and restaurants.

The hill is nice and big, with all levels of riding available. The village is right there, so easy to get to. Parking can sometimes be a bother, and waiting for shuttles can make you crabby. But it's beautiful and fun, although busy with non-Coloradans.

Steamboat is a favorite ski area of mine. The snow is usually fluffy powder, or "champagne powder". The tree skiing is wonderful! They do a great job of maintaining the slopes. The area is never as crowded as those closer to the front range or in Summit Co. Biggest drawback is the price.

A great selection of terrain, friendly staff, unbelievable conditions and usually not too busy. I love this little town and the powder! Good restaurants abound!

This is a great ski resort. The terrain is great and has something for all skier levels. I skied during the week and there were no lines at the lifts, the snow was fantastic and the trails were not crowded. The facilities are well maintained, the ambassadors are very friendly and helpful. Where else can you go and ski with... More

Absolutely the lightest, driest snow you will ever ride!! The town of Steamboat is a living breathing town, not just a tourist trap.

No lines, soft snow, sunny, fresh powder and a bunch of smiles. There is such a variety of trails and some of the best tree skiing ever. Then we talk of the backcountry! Always go with someone who knows where they are going!

Skiing the powder over the last few days has been incredible. Steamboat is the ideal resort for families. Easy access to slopes and downtown via free shuttles or buses. Great food at many restaurants. Friendliest people in all aspects of the town. Kid friendly and teenager approved by my 13 year old daughter, we highly recommend Steamboat and will definitely...
