Snowmass is a nicely compact village, connected by free public gondolas. It was so easy to get around and get the kids to their lessons in the morning. It was the first time for my 5-year-old and after the first day she begged me to change her half-day lessons into full days because she was having so much fun and... More

Best of the large North American ski areas I've visited. For families, the ski school and handling of children is without compare. Particularly for families with small children, the careful attention to seeing that your child is properly seated in the chair is unique among areas we have been to. For small children, each child is picked up and placed... More

For my very first experience, I must say that we had an awesome adventure at Snowmass! The staff is incredible! Everyone we encountered was nice, patient, and helpful without even being asked. My girlfriend and I attended the Beginners Magic ski school, and it was the best thing we ever did. The Elk Camp Gondola takes beginners and their instructors... More

I was fortunate to come when the big snow had dropped a day before. Most of the mountain was open with great trails, short lift lines and incredible snow...a perfect combination!

The rapid transit system that the village provides is a great asset. Thedrivers are friendly and helpful. Snowmass mountain is incredible; the big burn is awesome skiing. The lift lines were non existant. We had snow just about everyday while we were there. Most runs were groomed and then there were the bumps if you wanted to ski them.

Snowmass is a second home to me as I have been going there every year for the past 20. I now have my own child who LOVES ski school. I still take a lesson a year and enjoy the ski in and ski out of Top of the Village condos. Snowmass is low key compared to Aspen - which I... More

I have lived here for 19 years and prefer Snowmass for skiing because of the ease of getting onto the mountain and the nice wide runs and all the tree runs..The best way to avoid the crowds in the morning at fanny Hills is to start at Two Creeks on the far east side of Snomass mountain...There is parking on... 'nuff said. I don't want you to ski here. Go to Vail. Leave this place out of you itinerary. If you are from TX, you will hate it. People can ski here. y'all. Or if you do come to Snowmass, go to the village, or to Aspen and shop. Stay off the mountain. Thank you.

We spent a week in Snowmass. it was expensive, but I didn't compare it to other places so I don't know where it ranks overall. Other than that, we had a very good time. The service was good and the ski school organized. The school management responded to any issues. Some of the lift operators were not particularly attentive (not... More

I spend nearly every weekend of the ski season at Snowmass. I have three others to choose from, but none offers the varied terrain and choice of restaurants and apres locales that Snowmass has. You can't beat the Rodeo lot for convenience.
